  • Publication number: 20080195157
Abstract: The invention relates to a small fragment humeral head plate which is used to fix, in a stable manner, bone fracture fragments to the humeral head and shaft which is near to the body, including an elongate plate part which is sheet-shaped, in addition to an anatomically shaped head part which is attached thereto and bores which are arranged in the plate part and in the head part, said bores having a conical-shaped thread which is used to receive bone screws which comprise, respectively, a screw head with a complementary conical thread, such that an angle-stable position is produced when screwing. According to the invention, a symmetrically distributed group of bores are embodied in the head part, wherein the axis of symmetry coincides with the longitudinal axis of the plate. The first, external bores on the head part are oriented in relation to each other at an angle of between, approximately 12 degrees-17 degrees, preferably 15 degrees.

  • Patent number: 7029498
Abstract: A height-variable vertebral body implant having a first, essentially U-shaped or C-shaped cage, and vertebral support surfaces formed on the first cage. The first cage is an inner cage, which is embraced and guided in a telescopic manner by a second, outer U-shaped or C-shaped cage. Further, legs of the inner and the outer cage are aligned such that a continuous lateral opening is obtained, and the inner and the outer cages are mutually fixed in a predetermined final position. The inner cage includes in an area of a part connecting the legs a longitudinally extending elongated hole having a unilateral toothing. In cooperation with an instrument including a complementary toothing, a relative movement and adjustment may be effected between the cages. In addition, a thread bore is formed in the outer cage in a position below the area of the elongated hole to fix a desired adjustment position.

  • Patent number: 6610090
Abstract: The invention relates to a height-adjustable vertebral implant comprising a first essentially U-shaped cage which has recesses or holes and vertebral support surfaces which are formed at the cage. The first cage is encompassed and guided telescopically by a second, outer U-shaped cage, with the legs of the inner and outer cages being formed in such a manner that a continuous lateral opening is obtained. One end face each of the cages has upper and lower angular, tongue-like vertebral support surfaces as well as tooth-like locking projections which extend in the longitudinal direction. The inner and outer cages can be fixed in a pregiven end position relative to one another.
