The operating unit includes at least two operating elements upon the respective user-side actuation of which a control signal is transmitted from a control apparatus to the medical device. The control apparatus is in a pairing mode (or is put into a pairing mode) and the operating unit is put into a pairing mode due to user-side combined actuation of at least two operating elements. A medical control unit implements the pairing method.

Abstract: A housing for accommodating electric and electronic components is EMC safe in the manner of a Faraday cage. At least one accommodating chamber, open toward the outside of the housing and otherwise substantially closed to all sides, is formed in at least one outer wall of the housing. At least one non EMC safe transmitter in the form of a non EMC safe transmitting or receiving device is adapted to provide wireless communication between housing side control electronics and an external control device. A functional component is adapted to be controlled by the housing side control electronics. The transmitter may be an antenna, the arrangement thereof inside the accommodating chamber ensuring that it is located outside the EMC protection or shielding. The functional component can be a peristaltic-type pump that is protected by the arrangement inside the accommodating chamber and does not protrude from the housing.

Abstract: A peristaltic pump for medical purposes includes a pump casing in which a tube accommodation chamber is formed. In one embodiment, a pump head is rotatably mounted in the tube accommodation chamber. A tube unit is adapted to be inserted in the tube accommodation chamber such that a tube of the tube unit is engaged with the pump head in a manner to at least partially encompass the pump head. For this purpose, a tensioning device is arranged at the pump casing. The tensioning device cooperates with the tube unit so as to tension the tube around the pump head. The tensioning device may include a lever mechanism, wherein a lever element of the lever mechanism simultaneously forms or comprises a protective cap for at least partially covering the tube accommodation.
