Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for mixing gases with each other, said apparatus comprising at least two channels (1, 2) for flowing a gas therein and regulating elements (10, 11) fitted in these channels for controlling a flow progressing in the channels. One channel includes a restricting element (12) connected in series with regulating element (11) for adjusting a maximum value for a gas flowing there through, said restricting element being linked through the intermediary of a coupling assembly (15) to regulating element (10) in one channel such that the operations of regulating element (10) and restricting element (12) are linked together.The invention relates also to a method for combining gases together at a desired ratio, said gases flowing in at least two different channels (1, 2).
Abstract: The invention relates to a connecting mechanism for connecting a vessel (5) through the intermediary of a connecting element (3) to a liquid container (6) of an anaesthetic liquid vaporizing apparatus (1), the connecting element including two ducts (23, 24) extending therethrough, the anaesthetic liquid being carried along one (23) of said ducts between vessel (5) and liquid container (6) and the gas displaced by the liquid being carried along the other duct (24) between vessel and liquid container in the direction opposite to that of the liquid, and the connecting mechanism including an attachment point (2) for fixing said connecting element (3) and a transmission element (10) for operating a shut-off device (13), the shut-off device being capable of closing or opening a flow communication between vessel (5) and the liquid container.
Abstract: The invention relates to a fluid vaporizing apparatus (18), comprising a bottom section (28) and a cover section (27) enclosing a fluid chamber (33) containing fluid to be vaporized, and a gas chamber (34) into which fluid is vaporized, and a port (39) for discharging from gas chamber (34) the vapour evaporated from the fluid chamber. Said port (39) is located above the fluid level when the angle of inclination of the fluid vaporizing apparatus differs from the operating position of the apparatus by more than 45.degree.. The invention relates also the use of a fluid vaporizing apparatus in the evaporation of anaesthetic fluids.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the identification of a gas flow or its disturbances. A gas flowing in a gas pipe is allowed to pass through at least two flow-restricting elements in series, the pressure differences of a flowing gas being measured over said elements and effecting the identification by means of such measured pressure differences.
