  • Patent number: 9693633
Abstract: A seat support with adjustment systems allowing a height and swivel adjustment functionality of the seat in a manner free of any wobble and shaking motion. The seat mechanism for height and swivel adjustments have screw adjustment applying a pre-load on a resilient component which gives a resilient force on a load bearing surface. The load bearing surface guides the seat part in motion during seat adjustment in a way to reduce friction and wear with use in time. The screw adjustment and the resilient component are configured such that play in guiding of the seat part in motion during seat adjustment is eliminated regardless of fabrication and component variations, and wear, with use in time. A screw adjustment locking device is configured to assure a stable adjustment with use in time.

  • Patent number: 8967581
Abstract: A seat connector which connects a vehicle seat with a base support, and method of connecting the same. The set connector has a base interface which connects to the base support, and a seat interface which connects to the vehicle seat. Both interfaces cooperate together by having the seat interface slide along the base interface. Both during and before this sliding engagement, the weight of the seat interface and the attached seat are supported by the base interface and other weight supports. Upon completing the sliding engagement, the vehicle seat is temporarily in a locked position where movement of the vehicle seat in all directions relative to the base support is restrained, even without the use of mechanical fasteners to secure the connection. The vehicle seat is then secured to the base support with mechanical fasteners. The vehicle seat can be removed from the base support by sliding the vehicle seat in a rearward direction along the base interface.

  • Patent number: 8931848
Abstract: A modular footrest assembly allowing an independent height and swivel adjustment functionality for a pedestal or wall-mounted seat configured in a modular manner. The footrest swivel is independent of the seat swivel and is obtained by manually lifting the seat until the swivel latch is disengaged. The footrest is then rotated and manually laid down to position on a bottom height limit. The footrest height adjustment is independent of the footrest swivel and is optional. The footrest may include a lockable piston element activated by a foot button to modify the bottom height limit position. The footrest swivel position may be manually changed in any height position and the height adjustment is the same after the swivel position modification. A damper may be added to the system to prevent a free drop of the foot support during a manual swivel adjustment operation.

  • Patent number: 8844894
Abstract: A scissor suspension mechanism, optionally used as a seat base, comprising both small footprint base and movable element, a set of two pairs of crossed first and second scissor arms and a linkage assembly including a plurality of pivot interfaces and linkages; which are designed in a way that the crossed first and second scissor arms describe, during the total elevation stroke of the movable element with respect to the base element, both positive and negative angles with respect to each other while passing through a null angle at which the overall mechanism length is maximal.

  • Publication number: 20130082504
Abstract: A modular seat assembly comprising a plurality of modules easily interchangeable and connected together with mounting interfaces. More particularly, the modular seat assembly comprises a mounting group comprising modules designed for mounting the seat assembly preferably to a vehicle cabin; and a seat group comprising modules designed for assembling an upper seat connectable to the modules of the mounting group. Each module has an independent structural function and is removably connected to the modular seat assembly via its mounting interface, which can include an anti-wobbling fastening mechanism. The independent structural function of module can thus affect the final functionality of the seat assembly.

  • Patent number: 7517018
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a compact base for a seat with a suspension for a vehicle driver, for use in buses, heavy vehicles or special use vehicles, including excavation vehicles or foresting equipment, in which the operator or driver is subject to vibrations. The present invention provides total independence of the suspension properties, including stiffness, damping and range of travel, with height adjustment. In order to accomplish this, the compact base for the seat is divided into parts including a suspension and a seat height adjustment mechanism. These parts have no common component including balloons, dampers or guiding systems. In this manner, the suspension properties of the seat are not affected by the seat height adjustment. Moreover, the invention provides a compact seat base through the use of structures and balloons that fit one within the other.
