    Abstract: A system is provided to identify energy opportunities for an entity (e.g., supplier or consumer) to help ensure than an objective of the entity is met. An objective of an entity may be to consume electrical power that is at least 50% provided by clean energy. Another objective may be to reduce energy consumption during periods of electrical shortages. Yet another objective may be to supply electrical power during periods of high price and consume electrical power during periods of low price. The system inputs data relating to the day-ahead energy market, the real-time energy market, historical supply and demand, forecast supply and demand, and so on and identifies various energy opportunities for entities. The system then notifies the entities of the energy opportunities that may be of interest so that the entities can decide whether to take advantage of the energy opportunities.

    Abstract: An apparatus is provided for enabling smokable material to be heated to volatize at least one component of the smokable material. In another example, the apparatus has a resistive sensor arranged to provide a measure of electrical resistance when an article of smokable material is associated with a housing of the apparatus in use. A combination of capacitive and resistive sensing may be used in some examples. In another example, a sensor makes use of at least two different sensing techniques. There is also provided an article of smokable material having a non-metallic electrically conductive region for detection by a sensor of an apparatus arranged to cause heating of the smokable material.

The navigational aid measures external physical conditions such as radio transmissions, radar soundings, sonar soundings, and the like, as well as the physical state of the craft such as fuel flow, list of the craft, and speed of the motor. By monitoring these characteristics in association with an electronic chart, the system correlates and combines the total informational content in a comprehensive form so as to relieve the operator pilot of the necessity of integrating and correlating data from a plurality of different sources.

    Abstract: A Loran C receiver is disclosed which has a scanned type keyboard including data entry, primary function and special function keys. The primary function keys include an automatic key for selecting automatic operation. A microprocessor is controlled by the keyboard, a timing means, a real time interrupt, a counter, a groundwave phase and envelope sample strobe generator, a delayed phase channel sample strobe generator and a latches and multiplexer. The timing means orients the microprocessor as to time and triggers the counter. The counter provides the proper count to the groundwave phase and envelope strobe generator and delayed phase channel sample strobe generator for producing a plurality of sampling signals for the latches and multiplexer. The real time interrupt produces a data ready or cycle done signal for the microprocessor.
