  • Patent number: 10609350
Abstract: Devices and techniques are generally described for multi-band projection of image data. In various examples, image data may be identified. In some examples, first image data of a first frequency may be generated from the image data. In some examples, second image data of a second frequency may be generated from the image data. In various examples, the first frequency may be higher than the second frequency. In some examples, a first image may be projected onto a projection surface using a raster projector. In an example, the first image may correspond to the first image data. In further examples, a second image may be projected onto the projection surface overlaying the first image. In various other examples, projecting the second image onto the projection surface may be performed using a lamp-based projector. In some examples, the second image may correspond to the second image data.

  • Patent number: 10237530
Abstract: The techniques described herein segment objects represented in images using one or more depth maps, regardless of whether an initial depth map is of a threshold quality. To do so, the techniques determine whether the initial depth map is of the threshold quality. If so, the techniques use this depth map for performing segmentation on an image. If not, then the techniques utilize one or more fallback approaches for generating an additional depth map, from which the segmentation may be performed.

  • Patent number: 10212408
Abstract: The techniques described herein segment objects represented in images using one or more depth maps, regardless of whether an initial depth map is of a threshold quality. To do so, the techniques contemporaneously generate, by a depth sensor, a depth map of an environment and capture, by an RGB camera, a color image of the environment. The techniques then determine whether the initial depth map is of the threshold quality. If so, the techniques use this depth map for performing segmentation on an image. If not, then the techniques generate a new depth in part by comparing an image captured by the depth sensor to the color image and performing block-matching between these images. That is, the techniques use the depth sensor and the RGB camera as stereo pair and fill in holes of the initial depth map based on the block-matching.

  • Publication number: 20080278604
Abstract: A method of transferring video data comprises obtaining a stream of video frames from an video capture device and identifying at least one characteristic in at least one frame of the stream of video frames. Lookup data is generated which associates the at least one characteristic with its at least one identified video frame. At least one video frame in the stream of video frames having a given characteristic is determined and notification or at least one of the determined video frames is transmitted to a client. A video transfer system, video processing device and method of image identification are also described.
