It is described to provide a processing unit with a plurality of orders of a product, wherein the plurality of orders is formed from open orders and shipped orders. The processing unit is provided with a stock level of the product held in stock. The processing unit determines an open demand of the product to be received, wherein the determination comprises utilization of the shipped orders, open orders and a total forecast number of the product to be received. The processing unit determines a product supply plan, wherein the determination comprises utilization of the open orders, open demand and the stock level.
