    Abstract: We describe a method of capturing writing or drawing on a whiteboard. The method comprises: inputting camera data for a succession of image frames, wherein the camera data is from a camera directed towards the whiteboard and the image frames comprise successive images of the whiteboard from the camera; and user filter processing data from said image frames to remove parts of said image frames corresponding to parts of a user or user pen writing or drawing on said whiteboard. The user-filter processing comprises filtering to distinguish between motion of the user/user pen parts in the image frames and writing/drawing image information in the image frames which appears or changes during said writing or drawing but which is thereafter substantially unchanging. The method outputs writing/drawing data from the user filter-processing, this defining captured writing or drawing from the whiteboard.

    Abstract: A system implements a camera to monitor a patient and medical devices. The camera's field of view is segmented into segments having images of the patient and the medical devices, and activities represented in the segmented images are designated for which to send a notification. Images captured by the camera are analyzed according to the field of view segmentation and the activity designation so it can be determined when the designated activities have occurred. A notification is executed when a designated activity has occurred. The system, which has a relatively low-cost and is easy to install, assists health care providers in monitoring a greater number of patients with minimal effect on the patients' privacy.

The lock assembly enables locking the cuffs in a position where the cuffs cuff the handlebar grip and the brake-lever. To install the theft prevention device the cuffs should be approximate to one another, and then the user may lock the cuffs in the approximated cuffing position, using the lock assembly.
