Abstract: A graphical user interface (GUI) module receives textual input from a user, determines recommendations based on the received input and the user's navigation network (that includes additional users associated with the user). The GUI interface then determines properties associated with the determined recommendations, and presents the one or more recommendations and graphical representations of their associated properties for display to the user.

Abstract: A method of guiding a user's web navigation through the recommendation of online content in the form of a navigation recommendation includes a server and a browser. The browser receives identification associated with a user in a navigation network and transmits the login information to the server. The browser additionally transmits information about the user's browsing activity to the server. The server receives browsing activities from many browsers having associated users and stores information indicating an association between the users and their respective interactions. The server additionally receives social networking information for the users and stores information indicating an association between the user and their respective social connections. Based on an input received from the browser associated with the user in the navigation network, the server determines a navigation recommendation for the user based on the stored information and transmits the navigation recommendation to the browser.

The display of one or more virtual objects and user interactions with the one or more virtual objects may be further provided. Multiple interactive areas may be created by partitioning an area proximate a display into multiple volumetric spaces or zones. The zones may be associated with respective user interaction capabilities. A representation of a user on the display may change as the ability of the user to interact with one or more virtual object changes.

Abstract: A message from a contact is received by a client and displayed in a message window for an amount of time. Additional messages from the same contact received are also displayed in the message window, and the size of the message window is adjusted to display additional messages with previous messages. After the amount of time expires, the message is removed from the message window and the size of the message window is adjusted again. To view the removed message, the user may select the message window, and the previously removed messages are displayed in a full message window.
