Patent number: 8619970Abstract: Methods and systems for updating the adaptive filter of an echo canceller. A method of updating the adaptive filter of an echo canceller in which an estimated echo is resolved from a received signal and then subtracted from an incoming echo-contaminated signal so as to produce a filtered output signal, includes: obtaining a corrected impulse response of an echo reconstruction filter (ERF); calculating specified decision measures usable to decide whether to prospectively apply the corrected ERF impulse response or a current ERF impulse response; determining whether application of the corrected ERF impulse response would result in improved echo cancellation; and updating the ERF to apply the corrected impulse response, when it is determined that the updating would result in a lower residual echo.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2010Date of Patent: December 31, 2013Assignee: Lectrosonics, Inc.Inventor: Ferenc Nagy

Patent number: 4297892Abstract: The invention concerns a process and an apparatus for measuring the anisotropy value of form changes in normal direction in sheet metals (the r-value). In course of a standard tensile test, the longitudinal change of dimension of the test piece is measured. When a preselected value of change of dimension in longitudinal direction which is characteristic of the material of the test piece, is reacted during the measuring process, the appertaining change of dimension in lateral direction is measured. Thereafter, an r-value is selected from the r-values corresponding to different changes in dimension in lateral direction at a preselected longitudinal change of dimension, which is closest to the one measured at the change of direction in lateral direction. The apparatus comprises comparator and switching units which are connected to signal transmitters converting changes of dimension in longitudinal direction into electric signals.Type: GrantFiled: November 27, 1979Date of Patent: November 3, 1981Assignee: Magyar Aluminiumipari TrosztInventors: Ferenc Nagy, Ferenc Szabo, Zoltan F. Patent number: 4283955Abstract: A method of and apparatus for the determination of the standard tensile yield point in which the extension of a test body is monitored, comprises determining in the course of continuous extension within the elastic limit, the ratio of the instantaneous extension and the associated load, storing this ratio and in the course of further continuous extension the ratios of a given residual extension as well as that of the instantaneous extension and the instantaneous load are determined, the stored ratio value is summed with the ratio of the given residual extension and the instantaneous load, and the thus obtained sum is compared with the ratio of the instantaneous load whereby the instantaneous load at which the compared values become substantially equal gives the tensile yield stress at the given residual.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1979Date of Patent: August 18, 1981Assignee: Magyar Aluminiumipari TrosztInventors: Ferenc Nagy, Ferenc Szabo, Zoltan Szucs

Patent number: 4172447Abstract: The apparatus of the invention comprises means for examining the human eye for the onset of glaucoma. The eye undergoing examination forms one plate of a virtual capacitor the other plate of which is formed by a gas nozzle. The body of the person undergoing examination and the gas nozzle are connected to the input of a signal converter the output of which is sampled at a predetermined instant by a sampling and sample-holding means. A gas jet from the nozzle is directed at the eye and a sample made of the output of the signal converter. An indicator connected to the sampling and sample-holding means provides a measurement of the deformation at the surface of the eye caused by the dynamic pressure of the gas jet. Sampling may be carried out at moments determined by the systolic rhythm of the person being examined. Preferably samples are taken at the systolic and diastolic moments thereof, the samples being compared to give an indication of the dynamic performance of the eye.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 1976Date of Patent: October 30, 1979Assignee: Medicor MuvekInventors: Jozsef Bencze, Jozsef Czine, Csongor Hegedus, Attila Kovats, Ferenc Nagy

Patent number: 4095117Abstract: The invention concerns a circuit for the determination of the concentration of any component of a liquid containing three different components having different optical properties, for the determination of the concentration sum of all components and of one other component, for the determination of the product and of the quotient which is formed by the third component, and for the calculation of the blood volume per minute of the heart. One or more light sources, a light sensing element, an optical filter and a lens are disposed in the circuit, and also power supply circuits and control circuits. To these are added a signal converting unit or a sensing system operating on three wavelengths other than the isobestic points or on a range containing these points, containing optical measurement channels, and measuring on the transmission or reflection principle. The signals delivered by the three-channel sensor or by the signal converter, as the case may be, are processed by logarithmatic circuits.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1974Date of Patent: June 13, 1978Assignee: Medicor MuvekInventor: Ferenc Nagy
