  • Publication number: 20050085005
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for making highly cost-effective electronic modules. More particularly, said method is characterized by steps requiring simplified equipment enabling to manufacture rapidly a large amount of modules. The invention also aims at producing a reliable electronic module at a very low production cost. This is achieved by using a method for making an electronic module comprising an assembly of an insulating sheet (1) provided in the form of a tray for holding electronic components and including cells, at least an electronic component (3) placed in said cells (2), and a second insulating sheet.

  • Publication number: 20050019989
Abstract: This aim is reached by a method for manufacturing an electronic module comprising at least one electronic component (4) and a layer formed by a binder, the electronic component (4) presents a visible face on the surface of the module, characterized in that one places a frame (3) on a protection sheet (2) placed on a base plate (1). At least one electronic component (4) is then placed on the protection sheet (2) and inside the frame (3). A pressing plate (6) is leant on the outline of the frame (3) before the introduction of a binder through orifices (5) pierced in the frame (3). This binder encapsulates the electronic component (4) by filling the space defined by the frame (3), the protection sheet (2) and the pressing plate (6). After solidification of the binder, the base plate (1) and the pressing plate (6) are removed.

  • Publication number: 20020190131
Abstract: Electronic labels consist of an electronic chip (4) and an antenna (3) assembled on a flexible support (2). The electronic chip (4) needs a rigid zone in order to not be damaged. This is why it is generally covered with a resin that makes this rigid region bigger. In order to reduce this zone the resin that covers the chip is suppressed and replaced with a protection (5) ensured by a rigid element added to the flexible support (2).

  • Patent number: 6352604
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for making smart cards by rolling. A first synthetic sheet (1) is first smoothed by hot pressing against a first smoothing plate (4). Likewise a second synthetic sheet (2) is smoothed against a second smoothing plate (5). Without being unstuck from their smoothing plates, these two sheets are rolled with other layers (3, 6, 7), said synthetic sheets (1, 2) serving as external layers. One of the smoothing plates may comprise a three-dimensional pattern to be relief printed on the synthetic sheet. The rolling is carried out by cold pressing the different layers (1, 6, 3, 7, 2) which the laminated card comprises between the two smoothing plates (4, 5). After being rolled, different cards with adapted dimensions can be cut out from the laminated sheets. The invention is advantageous in that the same plates (4, 5) are used for the hot pressing and the cold rolling.

  • Patent number: 6176010
Abstract: Method of producing a printed circuit starting from a dielectric film covered by one or more superficial metallic conducting layer(s), comprising a step of demarcation of different conducting paths by mechanical machining of incisions in the conducting layer. The machining is carried out by means of a sharp-edged cutting tool allowing incisions to be cut separating said conducting paths, without removal of conducting material or depthwise indentation. For example, a stamping die or a cutting table controlling a blade can be used to cut the incisions. The method is suitable for multi-layered circuits, and is particularly adapted to flexible printed circuits, to connectors, etc. and to inductance coils used, for example, in chip cards.

  • Patent number: 5895235
Abstract: A device, notably a transponder, comprising an electronic arrangement and a coating formed by an envelope defining a pocket and by a solidified binding in which is embedded the electronic arrangement. The envelope presents an opening having served for the introduction of the electronic arrangement and the binding during the manufacture of the device. The external surface of the device in the region of the opening is formed by the solidified binding. For the manufacture of the device such has described hereabove, it is envisaged to use a reservoir acting to fill the pocket by the binding and to recover a surplus of provided binding, this surplus of binding and the reservoir being separated from the device after the binding has at least partially solidified.

  • Patent number: 4650077
Abstract: This display case includes a base on which may be arranged a tray of elastic material sufficiently rigid to define, by means of ribs, cells for the storage of the articles to be displayed. When the tray is within the base and the ribs upwardly disposed the display case is set up for transporting the articles. Following inverting of the tray, display elements provided with fastening means in the form of the tongue may be fastened to the tray by insertion of the tongue into a slot which each rib defines on the opposite surface of the tray. Under these conditions the display case is set up for showing the articles. The tray display elements which are readily moved may be stored in a compartment forseen to this purpose. According to a variant the tray may be independent and provided with stiffening elements associated with at least two opposed edges thereof.

  • Patent number: 4560133
Abstract: A display unit for jewelry articles of substantially circular shape is disclosed comprising a small plate which is fabricated with a band or strip. This band is cut out from a strip of flexible material possessing good elasticity. At the small plate there is formed an opening or slot or the like to allow for the passage of the jewelry article which is to be displayed, for instance a bracelet, wrist watch, necklace or ring. In this manner, the small plate is located outside the ring or annular body formed by the jewelry article where it can serve to support the most different data concerning this jewelry article, and the band or strip is wrapped-up around the interior of the jewelry article. Owing to its elasticity, the band or strip supports the jewelry article which, if necessary, can then be set on a shelf of a display window.
