    Abstract: Methods and systems for providing message playback using a shared electronic device is described herein. In response to receiving a request to output messages, a speech-processing system may determine a group account associated with a requesting device, and may determine messages stored by a message data store for the group account. Speaker identification processing may also be performed to determine a speaker of the request. A user account associated with the speaker, and messages stored for the user account, may be determined. A summary response indicating the user account's messages and the group account's message may then be generated such that the user account messages are identified prior to the group account's messages. The messages may then be analyzed to determine an appropriate voice user interface for the requester such that the playback of the messages using a shared electronic device is more natural and conversational.

    Abstract: A method of reducing power leakage consumption in a processor by shutting off power to the cache memory when the processor is idle. The contents of the cache memory are written to a low leakage memory such as SDRAM or main memory. The power to the cache memory is then cut off and remains off until the occurrence of a system event. While power to the cache memory remains off, the cache memory interface is left operational so that the portion of the cache memory image stored in other memory is marked invalid if the corresponding data in main memory has been modified. Upon the occurrence of the system event the cache memory contents are automatically restored to the cache memory within a specified time.

The ceramic element includes a tube support portion and a plurality of tubes extending from the tube support portion. The plurality of tubes are arranged in rows and columns. A plurality of vias extend from one surface of the tube support portion to an opposite surface of the tube support portion. The ceramic element is coated with an electrically conductive coating and a current collector coating. The vias are coated with the electrically conductive coating and plugged. After the coatings are removed in selected areas of the ceramic element, the tubes of the ceramic element form a series-parallel array because tubes in the same column are connected in parallel electrically and tubes in adjacent rows are connected in series electrically. Two ceramic elements are sealed together to form a modular electrochemical device. The electrochemical device can be either an oxygen generator or a fuel cell.

The venting mechanism includes an elongated body defining an axial bore therethrough in communication with the ink reservoir, and a plurality of spaced apart fins peripherally surrounding the elongated body and defining a plurality of annular channels between the fins. Each of the fins defines a groove thereon to interconnect the annular channels. The writing instrument further includes a point support member supporting a writing point and positioned adjacent an anterior end portion of the venting mechanism and defining an axial bore aligned with the axial bore of the venting mechanism.

When a mating connector on the bus is plugged in, one of the plurality of contacts is shorted to the mated contact. The sensed shorting at the mated contact is used to control the ramping of current on the power lines of connector.

The duty cycle and the reciprocal duty cycle are adjusted during every second one of the successive control periods to change the pressurizing relative to the flushing of the first sieve bed and to change the flushing relative to the pressurizing of the second sieve bed, for reducing concentration of oxygen produced. The duty cycle and the reciprocal duty cycle are adjusted during remaining control periods to change the flushing relative to the pressurizing of the first sieve bed and to change the pressurizing relative to the flushing of the second sieve bed, such that water vapor is purged from the first and second sieve beds after pressurizing thereof.

    Abstract: A rate of change in altitude computer for providing a pilot with information to safely operate an aircraft. A beam of light is communicated through a mask. A gear responsive to altitude rotates the mask. A photocell receives the beam of light as it passes through the mask to produce sinusoidal wave signals. The positive node of the sinusoidal wave signal is modified to activate a transistor which allows a capacitor to be charged for a time period equal to the positive node. During the negative node of the sinusoidal wave signal the capacitor discharges. When the voltage associated with the charging and discharging of the capacitor is averaged, a steady state voltage is produced. The steady state voltage, which is proportional to the rate of rotation of the mask, drives a dial of an indicator to provide an operator with visual information relating to instantaneous rate of changes in altitude.
