  • Patent number: 10967630
Abstract: A sheet-fed printing press has at least one coating assembly configured as a non-impact coating assembly. The sheet-fed printing press has at least one transport belt which extends, having at least one transport section of a circular path thereto, parallel to a transport direction along a partial region of a transport path provided for a sheet. At least one coating location of the at least one coating assembly is arranged along the transport section of the at least one transport belt. At least one printing head is arranged connected to at least one first frame of the at least one coating assembly. The at least one transport belt is arranged, connected to at least one second frame, via at least one deflection device and at least one radial bearing. The at least one first frame, apart from at least one installation surface which is different from the at least one first frame and the at least one second frame, is arranged in contact to the second frame at most via flexible connections.

  • Patent number: 10766278
Abstract: A printing press has at least two units in the form of modules, at least one of which is in the form of a non-impact coating module and has at least one print head. The at least two modules each have at least one dedicated drive which is used to effect transport of a substrate through the module or through an effective region of the module. Along an intended transport path, there is at least one first application point, provided for the application of a color coating agent, an effective region of at least one drying device assigned to the first application point and at least one further application point provided for color coating agent application, and further oriented towards the same side, of at least one non-impact coating module, and an effective region of at least one further drying device assigned to the further application point. At least one print head is preferably one of connected and connectable to at least one positioning device.

  • Patent number: 10717268
Abstract: A sheet-fed press includes at least two units embodied as modules. The at least two modules respectively each comprise at least one individual drive, each individual drive being configured as a position-controlled electric motor. At least one of the at least two modules is configured as a non-impact coating module, and the at least coating module is arranged as at least another of at least two modules that is configured as a primer module or as a painting module.

  • Publication number: 20190299587
Abstract: A sheet-fed press includes at least two units embodied as modules. At least two of the modules respectively comprise at least one individual drive which is used to transport a sheet through the respective module or through at least one active region of the respective module. At least one of the at least two modules is configured as a non-impact cover module. At least one component of the at least second module comprises at least one drying system or one drying device. The sheet-fed press includes a transport path for transporting the sheets. At least the section of the transport path provided for the sheets, and secured by the non-impact cover module, extends at least essentially flat or essentially horizontally.

  • Patent number: 9875434
Abstract: A method for printing a strip-shaped material to be printed uses a printing unit of a roller printer. Output data for actuating at least one printing machine printing unit component, which determines the shape of printing images, is generated from stored template image data of a complete printing image in order to generate a printed complete printing image. The complete printing image is determined or described in a primary data packet, and the dimensions of the complete image, which dimensions are measured in a template direction, are assigned to the complete printing image in the template image data or the primary data packet. The dimensions of the complete image are compared with a threshold, and if the threshold is exceeded, the complete printing image is divided into a plurality of sections with respect to the template direction, with the plurality of sections being determined or described in a plurality of secondary data packets.

  • Patent number: 9403367
Abstract: A printing machine has a printing unit which has a printing-material conducting element that can be rotated about an axis of rotation defining an axial direction and at least four printing heads. Four positioning devices are arranged, by the use of each of which, at least one printing head can be arranged at least either in a respective printing position associated with the printing head or in a respective idle position associated with a printing head. At least one first printing head of the printing heads can be arranged either in a first printing position associated with that first printing head or in a first idle position associated with that first printing head.
