  • Patent number: 5134950
Abstract: A sailboat having a tetrahedral frame formed of six beams, three of which form the triangular deck with three hulls disposed at the vertices of the triangular deck extending outward from the plane of the deck. Two masts are formed by two of the three beams extending upward from the deck. The third beam completes the tetrahedral space frame structure and makes the assemblage rigid, and allows for easy folding of the sailboat space frame structure.

  • Patent number: 4719587
Abstract: A system (128) wherein information relating to the performance and availability of equipment is utilized for purposes of appraising the future behavior of the equipment. One purpose, for instance, to which such an appraisal can be put is that of reaching decisions concerning the repair/replacement/refurbishment of the equipment. The subject system (128) includes performance means (130), availability means (132), degradation means (134) and updating means (136), all suitably connected in operative relation one with another. The preformance means (130) is operative as a source of data pertaining to the performance of the equipment. The availability means (132), on the other hand, is operative as a source of data pertaining to the availability of the equipment. Continuing, the degradation means (134) is cross-linked to both the performance means (130) and the availability means (132), and is operative as a source of data pertaining to the degradation of the equipment.

  • Patent number: 4326475
Abstract: A sailboat having a triangular frame formed of three beams forming the sides of that frame and three pontoons or hulls disposed at the vertices of the triangle and extending outward from one side of the plane of the triangle. A mast extends outward from the other side of the plane and is connected to the vertices by cables to form a tetrahedral-type space frame which is structurally sound and easily dismantled.
