Patent number: 10080553Abstract: A medical instrument includes instrument parts which can be releasably connected to one another. One part includes a hollow-cone-shaped receiving space and another part includes a cone-shaped coupling section which can be inserted into the receiving space to connect the parts. The coupling section includes a locking receiver for a locking element of the receiving space and which can be brought into and out of engagement with the locking receiver. A securing element moves between a position holding the locking element in a locking position, and a position releasing the locking element. An actuation element projects into the receiving space of the first instrument part, engages into the locking receiver in the locking position of the locking element and is movable in the direction of its middle axis. The middle axis of the actuation element is aligned in the proximal direction obliquely to a middle axis of the receiving space.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2015Date of Patent: September 25, 2018Assignee: Richard Wolf GmbHInventors: Frank Knodel, Eberhard Körner, Markus Lienhart

Publication number: 20120330098Abstract: A working insert for an endoscopic hollow shank instrument includes a shank, on whose outer side is arranged a monopolar working electrode axially displaceable relative to the shank. The working electrode is connected to the shank at a distal end section of the shank via a guide component which forms an electrical insulation between the working electrode and the shank.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 22, 2012Publication date: December 27, 2012Applicant: RICHARD WOLF GMBHInventors: Frank KNODEL, Josef BARTOLIC, Eberhard KÖRNER

Patent number: 8152794Abstract: An endoscopic instrument includes a shank (2) having at least one guide channel (4, 4?) for a laser probe (8), and a flexible narrowing provided in a section of the guide channel (4) connecting to its distal end. The flexible narrowing allows a clear diameter of the guide channel (4, 4?) to be changed in at least one direction.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2006Date of Patent: April 10, 2012Assignee: Richard Wolf GmbHInventors: Frank Knodel, Ludwig Bonnet, Stefan Gille

Patent number: 8114118Abstract: A medical instrument has an instrument insert and an instrument handle, which are detachably connected to one another. An actuation rod of the instrument insert is releasably connectable to a movable grip of the instrument handle via a locking connection. A blocking element is provided which blocks the movable grip when the actuation rod has been released.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2004Date of Patent: February 14, 2012Assignee: Richard Wolf GmbHInventors: Frank Knodel, Stephan Prestel, Carl-Sebastian Wagner, Josef Bartolic

Patent number: 7931667Abstract: A medical instrument has an instrument insert (4) and an instrument handle (2) which are detachably connected to one another via a locking connection. A grip (24; 57) and a closure (26; 50) are provided for securing the locking connection. The closure (26; 50) may be moved into an unsecured position by movement of the grip (24; 57) as well as independently of a movement of the grip (24; 57).Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2004Date of Patent: April 26, 2011Assignee: Richard Wolf GmbHInventors: Stephan Prestel, Frank Knodel, Carl-Sebastian Wagner, Josef Bartolic
