  • Patent number: 5025647
Abstract: A mechanical card-serviced lock comprises a housing (1), a locking member (2) which is displaceably arranged in the housing, blocking pins (12, 13) which by means of a key card (4) are mechanically movable between positions where they prevent and permit, respectively, relative movement between the locking member and the housing, and means (3, 18) for selectably changing the total length of the blocking pins in order to set the combination of the lock in correspondance with a key card (4) introduced in the lock.

  • Patent number: 4384465
Abstract: The invention relates to a lock mechanism for doors, preferably for use with dwellings, apartments or offices, the locking mechanism providing in particular a measure of safety against unauthorized opening of the lock. The lock mechanism is of a type which at will may be alternatively actuated from the inside either by a key or a thumb turn. When the resident of the house leaves he may in a simple manner suspend the function of the thumb turn. The lock is on its inside equipped both with a key hole hand and a thumb turn. The thumb turn may be engaged or disengaged with a dead bolt by means of a screw means. The screw means is actuated from the front of the lock, actuating an arm which actuates a transmission element bringing the transmission means of the thumb turn into, respectively out of engagement with the transmission means on the follower so that the lock at the operators will either will be actuated by a key or a thumb turn.

  • Patent number: 4376381
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pin tumbler cylinder lock comprising an outer cylinder, an inner cylinder rotatably arranged in a cylindrical opening in the outer cylinder, a key-way intended for a key and at least two rows of parallel bores arranged in the outer cylinder, in which bores spring loaded tumbler pins are slidably arranged. The at least two rows of bores have different number of bores, whereby the key will be prevented from retraction in one or more angular position of the inner cylinder. The present invention relates further to a key for such type of locks, the key having notches along its edge, the depth of which being interrelated with the length of the bottom tumbler pins. At least the notch at the extreme end of the key is removed, whereby the key may be retracted in both positions.
