  • Publication number: 20070079717
Abstract: Spectral, densitometric, or color measured values are detected on sheet printing materials during the printing process in a sheet-fed printing press. The measured values are determined on sheets as they are moving through the printing press and the measured values are used in real-time by a computer to control parameters for controlling the printing process in the sheet-fed printing press.

  • Patent number: 7040721
Abstract: A braking system for a vehicle is described, including a hydraulic service braking system and an electric service braking system having wheel brakes, to which braking pressure is applied when a brake pedal is operated. To maintain essentially constant vehicle braking behavior during a change in the braking-force distribution between the hydraulic and the electric service braking systems, it is proposed to provide a control unit, which is capable of varying the braking-force distribution and to equip the hydraulic service braking system with a braking pressure modulator that is controlled by the control unit and is able to effect a variable braking-force distribution as a function of the control by the control unit.

  • Publication number: 20050249380
Abstract: An apparatus in a machine for processing printing material has a register sensor for register measurement between at least two color separations of a printed image printed above one another on a printing material. The register sensor registers optically deviations between two color separations lying one above the other on the printing material and forwards the deviations onto a computer. The apparatus includes register marks to be measured by the apparatus. The apparatus is distinguished in that the register sensor contains at least one photodiode having at least two quadrants, and in that the largely rectangular evaluation areas of the photodiode are aligned obliquely in relation to the edges of the conveyed printing material.

  • Patent number: 6806602
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromechanical wheel brake device, with an electric motor that can press a frictional brake lining against a brake body (brake disk) by a reduction gear (planetary gear) and a rotation/translation conversion gear (ball screw). The invention proposes embodying the electric motor as a transverse flux motor with three phase windings; each phrase winding has a circular, annular excitation winding that is disposed inside U-shaped yokes, which are distributed over the circumference of the excitation winding. This embodiment of the electric motor permits a compact design of the electric motor in an annular, hollow shaft design so that the reduction gear and the rotation/translation conversion gear can be disposed at least partially inside the electric motor.

  • Patent number: 6305508
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromechanical wheel brake device with a brake caliper that is embodied of one piece with a gear housing in which a planetary roller screw drive for pressing frictional brake linings against a brake disk and a bevel gear pair for driving the planetary roller screw drive to rotate are accommodated. In order to keep a ring gear free of a force that acts axially on a nut of the planetary roller screw drive when the frictional brake linings are pressed against the brake disk, the device affixes a ring gear of the bevel gear pair in a rotationally fixed and axially mobile manner to the nut, for example by means of a multi-groove profile, and supporting the bevel gear with a separate axial bearing in the rigidly embodied gear housing.

  • Patent number: 6257377
Abstract: An electromechanically actuatable brake, in which a brake lining is pressed by an electric motor against a brake disk via a threaded roller drive. To enable releasing the brake in the event of a malfunction, a nut of the threaded roller drive is braced axially via a self-locking-free spindle, which is blocked against relative rotation by a permanent magnet brake, the permanent magnet brake is releasable by supplying current to the permanent magnet brake. When the permanent magnet brake is releasable by having current supplied to it, the brake lining pressed against the brake disk sets the spindle, forming the bracing means, into rotation and presses the entire threaded roller drive away from the brake disk and as a result the brake is released.

  • Patent number: 6179097
Abstract: The invention relates to a braking device (10) having a spindle gear (18, 20) for actuating a friction brake (14, 16), a gear drive (30, 36) for driving the spindle gear (18, 20) and having an electric motor (40) for driving the gear drive (30, 36). For safety reasons, the invention proposes a second electric return motor (34) for releasing the friction brake (14, 16). Particularly when the two electric motors (34, 40) are connected to mutually independent power supplies, this has the advantage that the friction brake (14, 16), if one of the two electric motors (34, 40) or one of the two power supplies fails, can be released with the other electric motor (40, 34).
