  • Patent number: 5695638
Abstract: A liquid filter for purifying mineral oil, the components of which are composed of a thermoplastic polymer, preferably polyacetal, is produced by welding the individual parts. Since no foreign materials are present, the filter can be subjected to a recycling process easily and without problem.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 13, 1996
Date of Patent: December 9, 1997
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Franz Gubitz, Gunther Reitzel
  • Patent number: 5532065
Abstract: A composite article of a massive carrier layer of a polyester material which can comprise up to 50% by weight of another polymer material which is compatible with it, and if appropriate up to 50% by weight of reinforcing and/or filling additives and other auxiliaries, and a decorative layer, which is built up, if appropriate, from several layers of materials which influence the visual properties and/or haptic properties and which all essentially comprise polyester material, the carrier layer of which is anchored undetachably in the contact area with the layer of material of the decorative layer which is in contact with it, the layers of the composite article in their entirety having a composition such that a homogeneous mixture of the same composition can be employed again to produce a structural element of plastic which has adequate mechanical data, is described.A process for the production of these composite articles furthermore is described.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 27, 1993
Date of Patent: July 2, 1996
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Franz Gubitz, Jean-Pierre Nething, Mathias Schremmer
  • Patent number: 5300361
Abstract: In composites comprising at least one solid base layer of a propylene polymer and a foam layer likewise of a propylene polymer, these layers can be bonded by softening only the side of the base layer facing the foam layer and optionally provided with relief structures by warming, and pressing the base layer and foam layer together, giving a very strong bond.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 12, 1992
Date of Patent: April 5, 1994
    Assignee: Hoechst Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Hans Vowinkel, Franz Gubitz, Rolf Orth
  • Patent number: 5208081
Abstract: Plastic moldings, preferably comprising a polypropylene molding composition comprising from 95 to 50 parts by weight of isotactic polypropylene or a copolymer of propylene containing up to 10% by weight of ethylene, from 5 to 50 parts by weight of rubber-like, polypropylene-compatible copolymers and from 0 to 50 parts by weight of reinforcing fillers in the underlayer, suitably colored and provided with a single-layer paint coat, are highly suitable for external applications on automobiles.
    Type: Grant
