    Abstract: A honeycomb body, in particular for aftertreatment of exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine, includes an inlet surface, an outlet surface and a honeycomb structure through which a fluid can flow. The honeycomb structure is disposed between the inlet surface and the outlet surface. The honeycomb structure has a storage device for storing at least one component of the fluid. A measurement sensor measures a concentration of the component in the fluid. The measurement sensor is disposed in the honeycomb structure at a given minimum distance from the outlet surface. A method for treating a fluid with the honeycomb body is also provided. The honeycomb body and method advantageously enable components of the fluid, e.g. nitrogen oxides (NOx), to be stored and reliably prevent the component which is to be stored from breaking through.

The catalyst carrier body has partition walls defining a plurality of passages for an exhaust gas. The flange has a section that extends at least partially into an outer wall of the housing and can be disposed between a cylinder head and a manifold of an internal combustion engine. The catalyst carrier configuration can be mounted close an internal combustion engine. A structural unit having at least two catalyst carrier configurations and an exhaust system are also provided.

A honeycomb body, especially a particle filter, situated downstream, may be heated particularly effectively and a temperature required there may be reached and/or maintained, especially for igniting soot that has collected.

    Abstract: An arrangement for controlling in a motor vehicle an electrohydraulically controlled, automatically shifting transmission driven by an internal-combustion engine. The transmission has several shifting programs optimized according to different design criteria which may be selected either manually by the driver or automatically. Using a temperature sensor, a cold-start condition of the motor vehicle is sensed on the basis of which a transmission control system shifts at least for a limited time period according to a warmup shifting program in such a manner that the internal-combustion engine, under identical driving conditions, generates higher exhaust gas mass flows or exhaust gas energy flows than for gear positions shifted according to a consumption-optimized shifting program.
