  • Publication number: 20120297339
Abstract: According to an aspect, an electronic device includes a display unit, a touch sensor, and a control unit. The display unit displays an image and an icon. The touch sensor detects a contact. When a first operation of coming in contact to the icon and moving in a first direction is detected, the control unit causes the display unit to move the image in the first direction with keeping the icon displaying.

  • Patent number: 7395266
Abstract: There are provided a portable terminal and a method of controlling the same with which it is possible to choose and display only data that is useful for users among contents existing on a communication network. A browser unit acquires a desirable contents source from a website by using reference information. An analyzing unit analyzes whether or not link information is established to the image data designated in the acquired source by the browser unit, and whether or not the domain and home directory of the image data match with the domain and home directory of text data contained in the source. A display control unit determines display or non-display of image data which is designated in the source based on the result of analysis.

  • Patent number: 7196861
Abstract: A method of evaluating the positioning accuracy of a magnetic head tester can accurately test magnetic heads and so can reliably provide non-defective goods. In a method of evaluating the positioning accuracy of a magnetic head tester that tests the performance of a magnetic head 14 by carrying out writing and reading operations on a magnetic medium 12 using the magnetic head 14. A plurality of GAPS profiles are acquired by repeatedly carrying out a GAPS test that measures a GAP offset amount for the same magnetic head 14 that has been attached to the magnetic head tester, a GAP offset fluctuation amount is calculated from the acquired plurality of GAPS profiles, and the calculation result is set as an index for evaluating the position reproducibility of the magnetic head.

  • Publication number: 20060132977
Abstract: A magnetic head, a head assembly, and a magnetic disk apparatus that uses the same make it possible to separately adjust the float of a write core and a read core in a magnetic head, and so make it possible to record and reproduce information more precisely. In a head assembly in which a magnetic head provided with a write core and a read core is mounted on a suspension, the write core and the read core are formed apart from one another on both side edges of a slider, and the direction of a line that joins the positions of the write core and the read core is perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of the suspension.

  • Publication number: 20060113957
Abstract: It is a portable terminal which can output contents from a communication network in a plurality of output modes easily. When a user performs a setting operation of the output conditions for each output mode using the operation unit, the browser setting unit stores the respective output conditions in the storing unit. The user gives the operation unit the instruction to display desired contents in a Web site as well as the instruction about the output mode, the mode switch reads out the output conditions of the instructed output mode from the storing unit and sets them into the browser. The browser searches for the desired contents by using the reference information of a designated Web site, obtains the source of the Web site with the desired contents, and produces the display data of the desired content taken from the source by using the output conditions which have been set.

  • Publication number: 20060045355
Abstract: In a mobile terminal capable of making cost required for a server or the like other than a terminal unnecessary and of simplifying key operations, when a user inputs an instruction to copy a desired page by operating an operation portion (12), a copy control portion (22) fetches in character string data of the page concerned and data discrimination means (24) classifies the fetched character string data into the character data of predetermined character string types to store the classified character string data in a storage area of a storage portion (14).
