Abstract: There is described an intermediate transfer member for digital offset printing, comprising: a cured silicone release layer formed by curing a curable silicone release formulation comprising: a polyalkylsiloxane containing at least two vinyl groups having a weight average molecular weight of 60,000 g/mol or less; a polyalkylsiloxane containing two vinyl groups having a weight average molecular weight of at least 65,000 g/mol; a polyalkylsiloxane cross-linker containing at least two Si—H bonds; and a catalyst or a photoinitiator. There is also described a method of producing an intermediate transfer member, and a curable silicone release formulation for an intermediate transfer member.

Abstract: Described herein is a method of refurbishing an intermediate transfer member (ITM) blanket comprising: cleaning a silicone release layer of the ITM blanket with a cleaning composition; applying a primer composition onto the silicone release layer of the ITM blanket to form a primer layer; applying a silicone release formulation to the primer layer; curing the silicone release formulation to form a silicone release layer; wherein at least one of the cleaning composition and the primer composition comprises a polysiloxane surfactant.

Abstract: Herein is disclosed an intermediate transfer member for liquid electrophotographic printing. The intermediate transfer member comprises a silicone release layer bonded to a layer comprising a thermoplastic polyester polyurethane. A method of producing an intermediate transfer member is also described.

Abstract: Herein is disclosed a method of coating a web with a release formulation. The method comprising: providing a coating station comprising a rotatable applicator roller to apply a release formulation coating to a web; applying a release formulation coating to a surface of the applicator roller, the release formulation comprising at least one silicone oil; feeding the web through the coating station such that the web engages with the applicator roller; and applying the release formulation coating to the web under a shearing force by rotating the applicator roller such that, at a location at which the web and the applicator roller engage, the surface of the applicator roller moves in the opposite direction to the direction the web is fed through the coating station.
