  • Publication number: 20080106881
Abstract: A telecommunications system includes a chassis having a front side and a rear side and a plurality of jacks mounted to the chassis. Each jack includes an IN port, an OUT port and a MONITOR port. A cross-connect panel including an array of cross-connect connection locations is accessible from the front side of the chassis. An optical multiplexer housed within the chassis is electrically connected to the jacks by circuitry within the chassis. The multiplexer is configured to multiplex a plurality of IN electrical signals that are going away from the jacks toward a piece of telecommunications equipment to an IN optical signal and is configured to split an OUT optical signal that is going away from the piece of telecommunications equipment toward the jacks to a plurality of OUT electrical signals, wherein the IN electrical signals and the OUT electrical signals can be monitored by inserting plugs into the MONITOR ports of the jacks.

  • Patent number: 4878918
Abstract: A mechanically fixable acetabular unit for hip prostheses, having a conical acetabular basket made of a tissue-compatible metal alloy, the acetabular basket (1) is provided with cutouts (3) running in the direction of the generatrix and L-shaped anchors (4) are inserted into the cutouts (3) so, as to be tilted around the geometric axis running parallel with the tangent of the mantle of the acetabular basket and in such a manner that the shorter shank of the anchors (4) is arranged at the end with a smaller diameter of the acetabular basket and on the outer end it is formed as a pointed sharp claw (7), while the thickness of the longer shank (6) corresponds substantially to the wall-thickness of the acetabular basket (1), while the length corresponds to the length of the cutout (3).

  • Patent number: 4858903
Abstract: A hand surgery operating table connectable to a conventional main operating table and consisting of a forearm support that is rotatable in a horizontal plane as well as pivotable about a horizontal axis, further comprising a base plate carrying a hand support; and up to seven flexible and tensionable arms secured at one end to the base plate and carrying finger-fixing thimbles at the other end. The tension of the arms can be adjusted to any desired extent so that they can either maintain their tensioned fixed position or they can be readily displaced therefrom without having to manipulate their tensioning mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4775381
Abstract: The hip prosthesis according to the invention is a further development of the prosthesis formed with conventional head provided with spherical surface, neck and stem, where a guide profile is formed along the outer straight side of the stem, containing components parallel with the side. The guide profile fits the inner surface of the medullary cavity nail, which allows the simultaneous use of the hip prosthesis and the medullary cavity nail, and nailing of the already prosthetized, then fractured femur.

  • Patent number: 4700691
Abstract: The restraining and supporting device for the head of a patient comprises a head immobilizing contraption connected to the operating table, arm and hand supports for the surgeon, wherein the hand supports are fixed to the head immobilizing contraption through flexible arms, also provided with elements releasing or tightening the flexible arms, which elements are fitted to one of the fingers of the surgeon's hand, or interconnected with hand and/or foot switch. The head immobilizing contraption consists of nape support provided with a three-point bearing for the head and can be set at an adjustable height. A front support clamps down the head into the nape support and is connected to the nape support through a hinged mechanism. The flexible arms are attached to the front support of the head immobilizing contraption.
