  • Publication number: 20050221116
Abstract: An organic electroluminescent device having an anode, a cathode, and an intermediate element, which is set between the anode and the cathode and contains hole-transporting organic material, electron-transporting organic material, and luminophore material; the electron-transporting organic material and the hole-transporting organic material being designed to form between them molecular complexes in an excited state (exciplexes or electroplexes); the luminophore material being designed to emit electromagnetic radiation and being supplied, in use, for transfer of energy from the molecular complexes in the excited state.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 28, 2003
    Publication date: October 6, 2005

  • Publication number: 20050048310
Abstract: An organic electroluminescent device (1) based upon emission of exciplexes or electroplexes, the device basically including an anode (2), a cathode (3), a first layer (4), which comprises organic material for transporting positive charges (5), and a second layer (6), which comprises organic material for transporting negative charges (7), said organic material for transporting negative charges (7) and said organic material for transporting positive charges (5) being capable to form between them exciplexes or electroplexes.

  • Patent number: 4943499
Abstract: Conductor polymers prepared by anodic oxidation of compounds of general formula (I) ##STR1## in which E=O, S, Se;R.sub.1 =H or a saturated or unsaturated alkyl radical with double bonds in the vinyl or allyl position with respect to the nitrogen;R.sub.2, R.sub.3 =H or methyl radicals. These polymers have a cross-linked structure with intermonomer bonds in which possible in nitrogen-bonded vinyl groups and the aromatic rings are involved, and delocalized positive charges in the chain neutralized by counter-ions such as Cl.sup.-, BF.sup.-.sub.4, ClO.sup.-.sub.4 or PF.sup.-.sub.6. These polymers can be used in the construction of rechargeable batteries of completely solid state.

  • Patent number: 4657993
Abstract: Polyphosphazene homopolymers and copolymers containing repetitive units represented by the general formula: ##STR1## in which the substituents X, which can be equal or different, are represented by the following formulas: ##STR2## where R is hydrogen or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.5 alkyl group or an aryl or heterocyclic group, with or without substituents, R' is CH.sub.2 or an aryl or heterocyclic group, with or without substituents, n is zero or a whole number variable from 1 to 5 and Y is hydrogen or a halogen or a methyl, nitroso or nitro group; the substituents X.sup.1 are groups equal to X or halogen, or alkoxy, aryloxy, amino or mercapto groups, either substituted or unsubstituted, or a mixture thereof; the sum (w+y+z) has a value varying from 20 to 50,000.The polymers of the present invention are prepared from the corresponding poly(dichlorophosphazenes) of general formula (NPCl.sub.2).sub.m in which m can vary from 20 to 50,000, and can be used as photoconductor materials and for other uses.
