    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for end-to-end data plane offloading for distributed storage using protocol hardware and Protocol Independent Switch Architecture (PISA) devices. Hardware-based data plane forwarding is implemented in compute and storage switches that comprise smart server switches running software executing in a kernel and user space. The compute switch is coupled to one or more compute servers/nodes and the storage server is coupled to one or more storage servers or storage arrays. The hardware-based data plane forwarding facilitates an end-to-end data plane between the computer server(s) and storage server(s)/array(s) that is offloaded to hardware. In one example the software comprises Ceph components used to implement control plane operations in connection with hardware offloaded data plane operations, and storage traffic employs the NVMe-oF protocol and the kernels include NVMe-oF modules. In one aspect the hardware-based data plane forwarding is implemented using programmable P4switch chips.

The method includes steps of: constructing an n*n fundamental matrix according to a preset constraint condition; performing a cyclic shift by taking each row vector of the fundamental matrix as a unit to generate (n?1) expansive matrixes; and generating a target H matrix according to the fundamental matrix and the expansive matrixes. Due to the implementation of the present application, an optimal H matrix is constructed by taking the thought of lowering the space complexity of an H matrix and reducing the hardware cost into consideration on the premise that a single-error-correcting and double-error-detecting function of a Hamming code is not affected; and a cyclic shift method is provided in combination with properties of the optimal H matrix, and a required target optimal H matrix may be formed by regularly expanding the constructed fundamental matrix.

    Abstract: A method of recognizing a conveyor belt wear condition is provided. Relationships between an apparent compressive stress in a wear resistance test and surface roughness of a sample and between the surface roughness and amount of wear per unit frictional energy of the sample are acquired. A wear condition of an upper cover rubber is recognized based on an apparent compressive stress generated on the upper cover rubber at a use site, and a database is created based on the relationships. Alternatively, relationships between an average wear pitch calculated from the surface roughness and viscoelastic properties of the sample and between the average wear pitch and an actual amount of wear of the sample are acquired. A wear condition of the upper cover rubber is recognized based on the viscoelastic properties of the upper cover rubber of the use site and a database is created based on the relationships.
