  • Patent number: 4657461
Abstract: The improved anchoring bolt device of the present invention is adapted to be inserted through an opening in a partition to anchor fixtures, etc., thereto. The device includes a bolt having an elongated shaft adapted to extend through the opening and bearing on its front end one or more arms pivotally connected thereto through a flexible neck and urged from a collapsed position which enables them to pass through the opening to an operative normally unfolded position behind the wall so as to anchor the device in place in the wall. In one embodiment the neck is of uniform diameter and is elongated and curved in an arc extending generally transversely of the device. The rear end of the shaft may have a loop or other means for pulling the shaft back to prevent its loss in the wall. A collet is releasably secured as by threading or ratcheting, over the shaft to hold a fixture to the outside of the wall. The shaft may be frangible to adjust its length and a rear cap may be provided.

  • Patent number: 4573844
Abstract: The improved anchoring bolt device of the present invention is adapted to be inserted through an opening in a wall such as ceiling, sidewall or floor and also openings in other walls, such as those of furniture, mattresses, appliances, etc., so as to anchor fixtures, appliances, furniture, etc., to the wall. The device includes a bolt having an elongated shaft adapted to extend through the opening and bearing on its front end one or more arms pivotally connected thereto and urged from a collapsed position which enables them to pass through the opening to an operative normally unfolded position behind the wall so as to anchor the device in place in the wall. The rear end of the shaft may have a loop or other means for pulling the shaft back to prevent its loss in the wall. A collet is releasably secured as by threading or ratcheting, over the shaft to hold a fixture to the outside of the wall.

  • Patent number: 4531773
Abstract: The assembly of the present invention comprises a foldable container slideably connected to a pair of slide guides adapted to be secured to opposite sides of a vehicle tailgate. The container in one operative position has an open top and front and closed bottom, rear and sides. The container comprises a bottom bed panel, a rear panel hinged thereto and moveable between a stacked position over the bed panel, a vertical operative position and a hangtail operative position hanging below and behind the bed panel. A pair of side panels are hinged to opposite sides of the rear panel and are moveable between a stored position overlying the rear panel and an operative position perpendicular thereto and forwardly thereof. Catches releasably latch the side panels to the rear panel and, in the operative position, to a vehicle frame, and similar catches releasably latch the bed panel and thus the container to the slide guides. The container may slide between a forward stored position and a rear operative position.

  • Patent number: 4341336
Abstract: An improved dimpler attachment for use on gypsum wall board and the like for fastening on a fastener driving tool. The tool housing has a driving piston, pneumatic or other power means to reciprocate the piston and an elongated driver connected to the piston for reciprocation and extending out of the housing. A slide connects a dimpler head to the outside of the housing and bears a fastener magazine. The dimpler head has a central channel slidingly engaging the driver and a pocket adapted to functionally seat a stop plug connected to the driver. The head is connected to the housing by return springs. The front end of the head is curved so that it effects a dimpling action when urged forward on the slide by the forward movement of the plug while seated in the pocket during forward movement of the driver.
