  • Publication number: 20050256845
Abstract: A system and method provides for managing data accessible by multimedia consoles that execute a multimedia application. The system includes a database that stores data for the multimedia consoles. The system also includes a storage manager that communicates between the multimedia consoles and the database. The system further includes a storage configuration database that stores access permission information for the database. In determining whether to grant the request, the system uses the access permission information from the storage configuration database. This abstraction of access permission information from the databases themselves to the storage configuration database may provide flexibility in managing the databases.

  • Publication number: 20050092527
Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for reducing drilling vibration during drilling with casing. In one embodiment, an apparatus for reducing vibration of a rotating casing includes a tubular body disposed concentrically around the casing, wherein tubular body is movable relative to the casing. Preferably, a portion of the tubular body comprises a friction reducing material. In operation, the tubular body comes into contact with the existing casing or the wellbore instead of the rotating casing. Because the tubular body is freely movable relative to the rotating casing, the rotating casing may continuously rotate even though the tubular body is frictionally in contact with the existing casing.

Abstract: A nozzle used in an abrasive blast cleaning apparatus through which a plurality of abrasive particles is propelled. The nozzle has a first bore with a constant first diameter, a radially converging section, a throat section with a constant second diameter, a radially diverging section, a second bore, and a second bore having a constant third diameter. The first bore defines a first end for receiving the abrasive particles and a second end. The radially converging section defines a third end connected to the second end and a fourth end. The throat section defines a fifth end and a sixth end, wherein the fifth end is connected to the fourth end of the converging section. The radially diverging section defines a seventh end and an eighth end, wherein the seventh end is connected to the sixth end of the throat section. The second bore defines a ninth end and an exit, wherein the ninth end is connected to the eighth end. The constant first and third diameters are larger than the constant second diameter.

  • Publication number: 20050000691
Abstract: The present invention provides a method and apparatus for handling tubulars and drilling with tubulars such as casing into a formation. In one aspect of the invention, the apparatus comprises a circulating head and a cementing head operatively connectible to a gripping member. The circulating head is used to circulate drilling fluid while drilling with casing, and the cementing head is used to cement the casing string within the formation at a desired depth. The present invention also relates to methods and apparatus for isolating a tensile load from a drilling apparatus rotated by a top drive. In one aspect, the present invention provides a load isolator apparatus having an isolator body operatively connected to the top drive and a torque body at least partially disposed in the isolator body. • Publication number: 20040225386
Abstract: A procedure receives a game result from a game console. A rating is determined for the game result. If the rating for the game result meets a predetermined criteria, the recorded game associated with the game result is received from the game console. The recorded game is attached to the rating of the game result such that other players can access the recorded game through an online gaming service.

  • Patent number: 6331750
Abstract: A light source device is provided for separating light into several light components with a plurality of colors or hues which includes a source of white light and at least one dichroic filter carried on an envelope of the light source device. The filter selects a particular wavelength band from a visible light spectrum and transmits only light from the selected wavelength band therethrough. The filter includes a mirror for reflecting light having a wavelength band other than the selected wavelength band whereby all transmitted light exits the device in different combinations of colors or hues. Several filters and mirrors may be arranged adjacent to each other with respect to the light source and the apparatus therefore transmits ideally 100% of the light from the light source and no additional means are required for dissipating or absorbing the non-selected wavelength bands since all bands or rays are included in the multi-colored emission.
