  • Publication number: 20240033440
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to an injection device comprising a cartridge arranged to contain a medicament and piston and a drive mechanism arranged to move the piston from a first position where medicament is contained within the syringe and a second position in which the medicament has been delivered from the cartridge to a user. The drive mechanism includes a flexible portion which co-operates with another part of the injection device such that the flexible portion is moved towards the central axis of the injection device during a portion of the movement of the drive mechanism from the first position to the second position and disengages from the another part of the injection device at or near the second position to indicate that the medicament has been delivered from the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 10016108
Abstract: An agitator assembly for a cleaning apparatus including an agitator having a body with first and second ends, and a first alignment formation and a first securing formation at or adjacent the first end; and a drive member operable to impart rotation about a drive axis, and a second alignment formation adapted to cooperate with the first alignment formation, and a second securing formation adapted to engage the first securing formation. Relative axial movement of the agitator in a first direction towards the drive member causes contact between the first and second alignment formations. Further relative axial movement of the agitator in the first direction causes relative rotation between the agitator and drive member and yet further relative axial movement of the agitator in the first direction causes engagement between the first and second securing formations, substantially to prevent further relative rotational movement between the agitator and drive member.

  • Publication number: 20180015308
Abstract: A waveguide couples an acoustic source (such as an ultrasound transducer) to a custom cosmetic product (e.g., a liquid or gel-based skin care product) applied to the skin. In one exemplary embodiment, a distal surface of the waveguide is placed in contact with a relatively thin layer of skin care product that has been applied to the skin. Alternatively, the thin layer can be applied to the distal face of the waveguide, and then the waveguide placed on the skin. The custom cosmetic product has been formulated such that when ultrasound energy is directed into the custom cosmetic product via the waveguide, bubbles included or formed in the custom cosmetic product oscillate, and increase the permeability of the skin to active beneficial agents included in the custom cosmetic product.

  • Publication number: 20120271222
Abstract: A waveguide couples an acoustic source (such as an ultrasound transducer) to a cosmetic product (such as a liquid or gel-based skin care product) applied to the skin. In one representative embodiment, a distal surface of the waveguide is placed in contact with a relatively thin layer of skin care product that has been applied to the skin. Alternatively, the thin layer can be applied to the distal face of the waveguide, and then the waveguide placed on the skin. The cosmetic product may be formulated such that when ultrasound energy is directed into the cosmetic product via the waveguide, microspheres in the cosmetic product oscillate and increase the permeability of the skin to active beneficial agents included in the cosmetic product.
