  • Patent number: 4113104
Abstract: Tamperproof reclosable cartons are provided from a single paperboard blank which includes a receptacle portion and a cover portion which telescopes over the upper edges of the receptacle portion. The cover portion includes a front cover panel and the front wall panel of the receptacle portion includes an integral bridging panel comprising a central sealing tab and flanking tab portions. • Patent number: 4089458
Abstract: A unitary paperboard blank for forming a tray with point-of-use flip-up partitions. The blank has an extension flap attached to the top edge of one of the side walls along a breakaway line of weakness. The extension flap has one or more divider panels formed therein depending upon the number of compartments desired in the tray. The side wall with its attached extension flap is folded over the bottom panel and the extension flap is glued to the inside surface of the bottom panel. The side wall is then broken away from the extension flap and the tray then formed on conventional tray forming equipment.

  • Patent number: 4043503
Abstract: A carton with a reclosable hinged cover formed by laterally spaced cut score lines in its top panel and front glue flap. The cut score lines in the glue flap flare upwardly to form arrow locking tabs which may be pushed through the cover opening so that the shoulders of the tabs lock under the front edge of the top panel. In the preferred form, the cut score lines forming the shoulders of the locking tabs extend only a portion of the way through the thickness of the paperboard and the cut score lines forming the cover portions in the top panel and glue flap are of the inside-outside double cut score type which provides partial thickness locking tabs and an overlapping cover.

  • Patent number: 4037776
Abstract: A circular lid is produced from a blank, which consists of a main circular portion from which projects at least one detachable tab. The tab provides a rectilinear trailing edge on the blank, which is adapted for contact by spaced lugs of a conveyor, so that when the blank is pushed through an associated machine by the lugs bearing thereupon, its rotational orientation is maintained. This ensures that registered, sequential operations can be performed on the blank, such as gluing, window film application, printing, and the like.
