  • Publication number: 20250148227
Abstract: An inventory tracking system (100) for use with an agitator (200) comprises an RFID antenna system (102) for detecting RFID tags located in the agitator and an RFID reader (104) in communication with the RFID antenna system (102). The inventory tracking system (100) also comprises a sensor system (106) configured to monitor a state of the agitator. The RFID reader (104) receives a signal indicative of an agitator state from the sensor system (106), and the RFID reader (104) controls operation of the RFID antenna system (102) responsive to said received signal. The sensor system may be configured to monitor motion of the agitator, for example the signal received by the RFID reader may be indicative of the agitator starting or restarting motion.

  • Publication number: 20230325616
Abstract: An inventory tracking system (10) for use in tracking articles (12) received in a cabinet (14) comprises at least one RFID read antenna assembly (100), an RFID tag interrogator (30), and an electrical connector arrangement (24). The cabinet comprises a receptacle (16), a holder (18) arranged in the receptacle and at least one metal substrate (20) received in the holder. The metal substrate is configured to receive at least one article carrying an RFID tag. The RFID read antenna assembly is mountable to the metal substrate, the antenna assembly comprising at least one antenna coil (102) and a high permeability layer (104). The RFID tag interrogator is configured to interrogate the RFID tag of the, or each, article received by the at least one metal substrate. The electrical connector arrangement has complementary components (26, 28) carried by the holder and the metal substrate for establishing, and breaking, an electrical connection between the interrogator and the at least read antenna assembly.

  • Patent number: 11697965
Abstract: A ladder safety mechanism comprises at least one clamp, preferably a pair of spaced apart clamps, attachable part way along a ladder, to secure the ladder to part of a structure. In some embodiments, the mechanism includes at least one manually operated actuator, such as a rope or cable, coupled to the at least one clamp to enable a user located at the bottom of the ladder to open the at least one clamp to receive the part of a structure. In some embodiments, the at least one clamp is automatically secured to the part of the structure by placing the clamp onto the structure. The at least one manually operated actuator also enables a user located at the bottom of the ladder to open the at least one clamp to release the part of the structure. The at least one clamp is oriented substantially perpendicularly to a part of the structure to which the ladder is to be attached.
