  • Patent number: 5906344
Abstract: A furniture foot assembly including a foot support block and an attachable furniture foot. The foot support block includes a substantially triangular-shaped body having rectangular outer walls joined together along at one of the end edges to form an intersection having an angle of about 90.degree. corresponding to the angle between adjoining rails of an item of furniture. An elongated boss is aligned with the intersection and is adapted to receive a furniture foot having a stem. The elongated boss provides a sufficient area of contact between the stem of the furniture foot without adding unnecessary weight. In the preferred embodiment, a boss support structure is formed from a bottom wall and a plurality of radial supports attached to the outer walls and the elongated boss.

  • Patent number: 5857642
Abstract: A dispenser for feeding perforated paper towels from a continuous roll. The dispenser includes a dispenser body for containing the paper towel roll which may be mounted to a supporting surface such as a wall. A unique feeder assembly is attached to the dispenser body for dispensing an end portion of the continuous roll. The feeder assembly includes a feeder body having a back wall, first and a second side walls attached on each side edge and a bottom wall attached to the bottom edge of the back and side walls. A first aperture is located on the bottom wall of the feeder body and a face plate having a second aperture overlapping the first aperture also is attached to the feeder body. The pair of overlapping apertures are biased against one another for receiving and dispensing an individual paper towel. In the preferred embodiment, a removable flange attaches the feeder assembly to the dispenser body. The flange includes a locking mechanism for lockingly engaging the flange onto the dispenser body.

  • Patent number: 5353947
Abstract: A case having a base and a cover is disclosed. The base and cover are releasably secured to one another in a first position such that the base and cover may be moved axially and may be pivoted with respect to one another. The base and cover are permanently secured to one another in a second position such that the base and cover may be pivoted with respect to one another. The respective movements of the base and cover in the first and second position enables the case to be displayed in a fully open condition allowing the consumer to view the product within the case.

  • Patent number: 5205431
Abstract: A case for cosmetics including a cover and a base. The cover and base have end and peripheral walls which together define an interior compartment. An integrally formed latching device is located in the front portion of the case. The latching device comprises a push tab in the form of a tongue-like section of the base peripheral wall. The distal and intermediate portions of the push tab are separated from adjacent portions of the base peripheral wall by at least one slot which extends alongside the push tab to its proximal end. Coacting cam means associated with the push tab and with an adjacent portion of the cover produces a force biasing the front portion of the base and cover apart when the push tab is moved inwardly with the latch engaged. Interengagement means is integrally formed on the cover and base peripheral walls to latch the cover to the base when the front portions of the base and cover are pressed together and unlatch when the front portions of the base and cover are forced apart.

  • Patent number: 4723858
Abstract: A solid deodorant dispensing package that includes a container, a solid deodorant holding cup which is movable in a cavity in the container between a dispensing position in which a portion of the solid deodorant extends through an opening in the periphery of the container and a storage position in which such portion of the solid deodorant is entirely contained within the container, and an elongate flexible closure which is movable within tracks in the container between a closed position in which a portion of the elongate flexible closure closes the opening in the periphery of the container and an opened position in which the elongate flexible closure does not close the opening, an end of the elongate closure being attached to the solid deodorant holding cup so that the movement of the elongate flexible closure from the closed position to the opened position moves the holding cup from the storage position to the dispensing position, and vice versa.

  • Patent number: 4722462
Abstract: A solid deodorant dispensing package that includes a container with a dispensing opening, a solid deodorant with a portion that extends through the dispensing opening of the container upon the squeezing of the container, and a closure that is formed integrally with the container for selectively opening and closing the dispensing opening. The container is generally wedge-shaped with first and second major sides diverging away from one another as they extend from a juncture therebetween to the dispensing opening and with pleated ends which extend between the first and second major sides which, because of their pleated configuration, permit the included angle between the first and second major sides to be reduced by squeezing the first and second major sides, an action which advances the solid deodorant through the dispensing opening.

  • Patent number: 4721403
Abstract: A solid deodorant dispensing package that includes a container, a solid deodorant holding cup which is moveable in a cavity in the container between a dispensing position in which a portion of the solid deodorant extends through an opening in the container and a storage position in which such portion of the solid deodorant is entirely contained within the container, and a closure which is hingedly attached to the holding cup and which is formed integrally therewith. In one embodiment of the invention, the closure is a generally L-shaped member which is folded back approximately 180.degree. through a partial depth opening in one of the sides of the container, to present one of the legs of such L-shaped closure member at a position where it can be readily grasped to permit the advance and the retraction of the holding cup within the cavity of the container.
