  • Publication number: 20140190761
Abstract: A steering system in a vehicle comprising an electric servomotor which includes a switching gearbox that is integrated into the steering shaft and has a switching actuator wherein a less direct gear ratio is presented when the switching actuator is de-energized than when it is energized.
    Type: Application

    Publication date: July 10, 2014
    Applicant: ZF LENKSYSTEME GMBH
    Inventor: Gerd REIMANN
  • Publication number: 20080097667
Abstract: The invention relates to a device and method for determining a steering angle of a motor vehicle. The systems make it possible to detect an elastokinematic angle on at least one steering pivoting joint (10) in correlation with a wheel offset.

  • Patent number: 6837824
Abstract: A final control element for superimposed steering engagement of a vehicle steering system with a superposition gear having two input shafts and one output shaft, in order to attain a radial freedom from play, the superposition gear is provided with a two-stage, modified planetary gear, having a planet carrier, at least one stepped planet comprising two axially aligned planet wheels connected to one another fixed against relative rotation, and two sun wheels or ray wheels; the first input shaft is connected to one sun or ray wheel, and the output shaft is connected to the other sun or ray wheel, fixed against relative rotation, while the planet carrier is drivable via the second input shaft, and the at least one stepped planet and the sun wheels are biasing toward provided for suppressing a tooth flank play that occurs between.

  • Publication number: 20030148846
Abstract: In a final control element for superimposed steering engagement of a vehicle steering system with a superposition gear (12) that has two input shafts (13, 14) and one output shaft (15), in order to attain a radial freedom from play, the superposition gear (12) is provided with a two-stage, modified planetary gear (25), which has a planet carrier (30), at least one stepped planet (31) that comprises two axially aligned planet wheels (311, 312) connected to one another in a manner fixed against relative rotation, and two sun wheels (32, 33); the first input shaft (13) is connected to one sun wheel (32), and the output shaft (15) is connected to the other sun wheel (33), in each case in a manner fixed against relative rotation, while the planet carrier (30) is drivable via the second input shaft (14), and means are provided for suppressing a tooth flank play that occurs between the at least stepped planet (31) and the sun wheels (32, 33).

  • Patent number: 6226581
Abstract: Device and method which to control movement quantities representing the movement of the vehicle. The device contains first arrangement for detecting quantities representing the movement of the vehicle. The device has at least two control devices which implement, independently of one another, control actions to stabilize the vehicle with the help of suitable actuators on the basis of quantities detected with the help of the first arrangement. At least one of the control devices influences the steering of the vehicle. Furthermore, at least one of the control devices influences the brakes and/or the engine of the vehicle, and/or an additional control device influences the chassis actuators. In addition, the device has a second arrangement with which signals and/or quantities are determined on the basis of the quantities detected with the first arrangement and used to influence at least temporarily at least one of the minimum of two control devices, so that the vehicle is thereby stabilized.

  • Patent number: 5124921
Abstract: The differences .DELTA.V of the speed signals of diagonally opposed wheels and the time variation signals of these differences are formed. If at least one of these signals exceeds a prescribed threshold, a curve detection signal is supplied which can be used to shut down the delay of the yaw speed build-up in an ABS.
