  • Patent number: 8286544
Abstract: A hydraulic control system for controlling at least two consumers (2, 4) includes a pump (6) with an adjustable delivery quantity. The consumers are each associated with an adjustable metering orifice (24, 38), having a power beyond connection (72) to which at least one power beyond consumer (74) is connectable. An inlet pressure governor unit (60) is connected downstream of the pump (6) and opens a connection to a tank (T). Its setting occurs as a function of a load pressure of the consumers (2, 4) or of the at least one power beyond consumer (74). The inlet pressure governor (60) is provided in the pressure fluid flow path between the pump (6) and one of the two consumers (2, 4), while the power beyond connection (72) branches off from the pressure fluid path between the pump (6) and the inlet pressure governor (60).

  • Patent number: 8020485
Abstract: Disclosed is a lifting gear valve arrangement for controlling a double-action lifting gear or an add-on unit with a continuously adjustable directional control valve and with an individual pressure compensator via which a pressure medium volume flow to and from a lifting cylinder of the lifting gear can be controlled. A proportionally adjustable pressure limiting valve is provided in the pressure medium flow path between an outlet connection of the directional control valve and a working connection of the lifting gear valve arrangement, via which the pressure inside this area can be limited to a maximum value. The adjustment of the pressure limiting valve is preferably performed as a function of the operating states of the lifting gear or of the type of add-on unit.

  • Patent number: 7870728
Abstract: The invention discloses a hydraulic control arrangement for controlling a number of consumers, particularly of a mobile working machine. In addition to the consumers of the control arrangement, an additional consumer should be able to be connected to a power beyond port. All consumers and power beyond consumers are supplied with hydraulic fluid by a pump. An input pressure scale is provided downstream of the pump, and the greater of the load pressures of the consumers or of the at least one power beyond consumer is applied to the control port of said input pressure scale.

  • Publication number: 20090007556
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydraulic control arrangement for actuating at least two consumers (2, 4) which can be supplied with pressure medium by means of a pump (6) with an adjustable delivery rate. Provided in the pressure medium flow path between the pump (6) and at least one of the consumers (2, 4) is an input pressure balance (60), by means of which a connection to a tank can be opened in a controlled manner. A power beyond connection (72) for connecting a power beyond consumer (74) branches off from a pressure medium flow path between the pump (6) and the input pressure balance (60). The adjustment of the input pressure balance takes place as a function of one of the load pressures of the consumer or of a power beyond consumer. Said hydraulic control arrangement permits a prioritized supply to the power beyond consumer and an increase in the regulating pressure difference when supplying power beyond consumers.

  • Patent number: 6085133
Abstract: The invention provides first signals (w.sub.z, a.sub.L, a.sub.Q, a.sub.V1, a.sub.V2, a.sub.V3) representing the vehicle movements relative to an inertial reference system (K.sub.I) for use in a chassis regulation and/or control system in a vehicle. Based on the first signals, correction values (beta.sub.S, beta.sub.S ', beta.sub.S ", alpha.sub.S, alpha.sub.S ", psi.sub.S ', psi.sub.S ") for correction of the first signals are determined in such a way that vehicle movements relative to a road surface-fixed reference system (K.sub.S) are inferred from corrected first signals (S.sub.cor i). The invention has the advantage that the inertial sensor signals disturbed by road surface inclinations are projected into the road surface plane, obtaining signals which represent the vehicle movement relative to the road surface.

  • Patent number: 6066911
Abstract: An an ultrasonic drive element having a plurality of layers of piezoelectric material, arranged one on top of another to form a stack, between each of which is located a contacting layer for application of an operating voltage. Each of the contacting layers is subdivided into at least two electrically unconnected subregions, at least one of which has an electrode for making contact to the adjacent piezoelectric layers. By applying suitable alternating-current voltages to the electrode, the surface of the layer stack is excited into mechanical oscillations which contain a motion component parallel to the plane of said surface.

  • Patent number: 5929389
Abstract: The device (10) for determining a weight of a load in a working vehicle has a link device (12) including an upper link member (16), a lower link member (17) and a load holder (15) that moves the load up and down by means of a hydraulic cylinder (21) so that a height of the load is variable or adjustable, a pressure sensor for generating a pressure signal depending on the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic cylinder (21) and a position sensor for generating a position signal depending on the position of the link device relative to the working vehicle. From the signals of both sensors and also, optionally, signals from a pitch sensor measuring the pitch angle of the working vehicle, a processor (26) determines the size of the suspended load (11) and its weight change, since it determines measured values sets for three unknown variables, weight (G) and center of gravity position (r.sub.SP, .alpha..sub.SP), advantageously in at least three different measurement configurations or positions of the link device (12).

  • Patent number: 5609140
Abstract: In a fuel supply system for an internal combustion engine, significant parameters such as fuel pressure and fuel flow rate are determined continuously from measured variables with the aid of an observer. These variables which have been determined are used to achieve fuel delivery performed with regard to a requirement, the control operations being carried out as a function of requirements of the internal combustion engine by the control unit itself.

  • Patent number: 5545106
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of inputting the actual transmission ratio of a continuously variable transmission (CVT=continuously variable transmission) of a vehicle, especially a passenger motor vehicle. For this method, operating points of a shift characteristic field can be assumed which lie on a characteristic line of optimized consumption of a motor characteristic field of a motor of a vehicle. In this method, also operating points of the shift characteristic field can be assumed which lie on a characteristic line of optimized power of the motor characteristic field. The trace of the characteristic line of the shift characteristic field results from the particular selected characteristic line of the motor characteristic field. It is provided that operating points of the shift characteristic field can be assumed which lie on a dynamic characteristic line (c"') of the motor characteristic field.

  • Patent number: 5514050
Abstract: A method for operating a motor vehicle such as a passenger car, which is equipped with a motor and an electronically controlled, continuously variable transmission includes the steps of: detecting a driving state defined by downhill travel; detecting the speed of the vehicle at the start of the downhill travel and storing the vehicle speed; continuously changing the transmission in such a manner that the vehicle speed is substantially maintained while utilizing the braking action of the motor thereby defining a downhill travel motor braking mode of operation; and/or, detecting possible slip at the wheels of the motor vehicle and adjusting a corresponding other, lower gear ratio continuously on the transmission so that the slip is reduced or is entirely eliminated thereby defining a slip-adjustment mode of operation; and/or, detecting if a braking operation is present and, during braking operation, continuously adjusting the transmission by changing the gear ratio to support the brakes of the motor vehicle to

  • Patent number: 5215327
Abstract: The stiffness of the suspension is very much a function of the load in hydro-pneumatic vehicle suspensions. With high loads the vehicle suspension is stiff and with a light load it is relatively soft. In addition, the vehicle suspension of the wheel on the outside of the turn is stiffer than that of the wheel at the inside of the turn. The changes in the stiffness of the vehicle suspension are very disagreeable and can result in dangerous driving conditions. Equalization of the stiffness of the vehicle suspension is provided with the aid of a supplemental force. The supplemental force acts in the same direction as the load force of the vehicle chassis. The vehicle suspension is preferably suited for motor vehicles.
