Abstract: An agricultural implement is provided with trailing swing arms, each of which has a trailing wheel. Each swing arm is provided with a lifting device in the form of a piston operating in a cylinder. This lifting device establishes the height at which the implement is supported relative to the ground. Each swing arm is also provided with a gas spring in the form of an upper piston operating in a cylinder to control the pressure of the implement against the ground surface despite undulations in the surface upon which the wheels engage. The lifting devices and the gas springs operate in conjunction with each other to establish substantially uniform pressure of the implement against the ground over the transverse width of the implement. A control device controls the pressures prevailing in the gas springs, which pressures may be different.

Abstract: A mower bar is disclosed having rotating cutters driven by vertical drive shafts and associated gearing. The mower bar includes an air duct along its forward edge and at each rotating cutter. Air ducts are also included in each cutters' centered dish portion.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for mowing agricultural crops, particularly grass, provided with an elongate mower bar pulled in transverse direction over the field and having a number of dish-like carriers having at least two upstanding pins, adapted to be attached with respect to the carrier, around each pin a cutter blade is releasably mounted for pivoting. The device according to the invention is distinguished in that the dish-like carrier is provided with a protruding arm for each pin, said arm having a front face, sloping up and backwards, with respect to the direction of rotation, said pin being arranged underneath and behind said front face.

Abstract: A device for baling agricultural crop comprising a compression chamber, a sidewall of which has an inlet port, a driven pressing member adapted to reciprocate along said port, an auxiliary space communicating with said inlet port for temporarily storing the crop to be compressed and a member periodically closing said inlet port and being rotatable about an axis transverse of the direction of movement of the pressing member in order to advance the crop out of the auxiliary space via the inlet port into the compression chamber, wherein the boundary of the auxiliary space near the transverse axis is formed by one or more elements having a circular circumference coaxial with the transverse axis, whereby it is avoided that crop is jammed between the rotatable member and the neighbouring boundary of the auxiliary space.

Abstract: A device for coupling an implement drawn along on the ground with a tractor and for transferring driving power from the power take-off shaft of the tractor to the implement coupled herewith, said device comprising a carrier for a transmission, preferably gear transmission, of at least two portions relatively rotatable about an upwardly extending axis, the input shaft of said transmission coupled with the power take-off shaft being journalled in one portion of the carrier, whilst the second portion of the carrier is coupled with the agricultural implement, said input shaft being further journalled in a support provided with coupling members such that the support can be tilted about a pivotal axis extending transversely of the input shaft in its connection with the tractor.

Abstract: In a mowing device comprising besides cutting members also a rotor having catches which crush the cut crop, the crushing effect is increased by providing ballast at the free ends of the catches along the arcs of a circle of the catches.
