  • Patent number: 11345503
Abstract: A machine (10, 224, 258, 274, 292, 310) is selectively operative to apply markings such as labels, sleeves, decorations and indicia to containers (58, 130, 162, 254). The machine includes a lower conveyor (LC) (14) and an upper conveyor (UC) (28). LC shuttles (46) are selectively movable around an LC track (16). UC shuttles (52) are selectively movable around a UC track (30). The LC and UC shuttles are selectively movable to engage a container vertically intermediate of respective LC and UC shuttles. In the container engaged position each container is selectively rotatably and linearly movable so as to be positioned in engagement with applicators (108, 256, 296, 298, 300, 314, 316, 318, 320, 322, 324). The applicators are selectively operative to apply markings to respective containers in operative engagement therewith in a precise and repeatable manner.

  • Publication number: 20140209249
Abstract: A labeling machine, particularly of the reel-fed type, includes a framework (2) which supports an application element (10) provided with at least one rotating member (11) adapted to transfer the individual labels on corresponding containers moved by a conveyance element (50); the application assembly is fed by a driving element (20) which unwinds the ribbon of the labels from a reel which is supported by a rotatable support (31) mounted on at least one reel supporting assembly (30). The labeling machine includes an articulation element (100) in order to move reversibly the reel supporting assembly from a working position, in which the rotation axis (3000) of the rotatable support is substantially parallel to the rotation axis (1000) of the rotating member, to a loading position, in which the rotation axis of the rotatable support is transverse to the rotation axis of the rotating member.

  • Patent number: 7347035
Abstract: An assembly is disclosed for unrolling and pre-stretching stretch film as the film is fed from the assembly to goods/products to be wrapped or packed. The assembly comprises a first member for controlling the unwinding of the film from a spool, and a cutter arranged downstream of the control member for lacerating the film, the assembly further comprising a second member, downstream of the cutter, for preventing return of the film in a direction opposite to that in which the film leaves the assembly. A cutting procedure, according to another aspect of the present invention, comprises the steps of: following an initial stop of the film during which it is cut, the first, control member is unlocked so as to permit the laceration zone of the film to pass downstream of the second, return preventing member. The film then comes to a new stop to complete the cut following relative motion between the assembly and the goods/products to be wrapped or packed.

  • Publication number: 20060130432

The assembly comprises a member for controlling the unwinding of the film from a spool, and a cutter arranged downstream of the control member and capable of being operated to lacerate the film, the assembly further comprising, downstream of the cutter, a member for preventing the return of the film in the direction opposite to the one in which it leaves the assembly. The cutting procedure in accordance with the invention envisages, following an initial stop of the film during which it is lacerated, the unlocking of the control member to permit the laceration zone to pass downstream of the return preventing member, and then a new stop of the film to complete the cut following relative motion between the assembly and the goods/products to be packed.
