  • Patent number: 10077057
Abstract: A method for estimating the interval within which the total weight of an automobile vehicle is situated includes defining at least two intervals of weights, including determining a first situation in which the total weight of the vehicle belongs to the first interval and a second situation in which the total weight of the vehicle belongs to the second interval, calculating probabilities of being in the first or second situation knowing a value of the weight, calculating a risk of choosing the wrong interval as a function of the calculated probabilities and of a cost associated with an erroneous decision, and determining the interval within which the total weight of the vehicle is situated as a function of the risk.

  • Patent number: 10029667
Abstract: A method managing energy consumption for an automobile including an electric battery and a heat engine, to select use phases of the engine along a route to minimize fuel consumption. The method includes: cutting a road network, for a route, into plural segments each defined by an input node and an output node; calculating, from a speed associated with a segment, a probability of a speed transition between a speed at an input node and at an output node of the segment, considering plural speeds at the input node and at the output node, executed gradually over all the route segments; applying a stochastic optimization algorithm considering all possible transition scenarios between each input node and each output node, and the probability associated therewith, and a fuel consumption model between two successive nodes, executed over all the route segments; and selecting use phases of the heat engine along the route.

  • Patent number: 9840160
Abstract: A method for estimating energy consumption of a motor vehicle during a given journey, including: a) cutting the journey into portions of journey, b) allocating a setpoint speed to each portion of journey, as a function of at least one characteristic of the portion, c) estimating, for each portion of journey, an evolution of speed of the vehicle as a function of time, the speed being estimated as a function of at least one characteristic of the portion of journey and as a function of a predetermined driving behavior associated with the setpoint speed of the portion, to establish for a whole of the journey an estimation of the evolution of the speed of the vehicle as a function of time, d) estimating the energy consumption of the vehicle during the journey, as a function of the evolution of the estimated speed.
