  • Publication number: 20050040597
Abstract: This invention is a unique strategy board game involving traditional chess skills, decision-making and tactics. It has a unique scoring system. The moves assigned to the pieces, the combination in which they are used, and their point values, are new concepts. The game board, specifically designed for the rules contained within this patent, consists of a horizontal playing surface of checkered squares or circles, on which the game pieces move each in accordance with its designated movement rules. Each player moves the game pieces with the object of capturing as many of the opposing player's pieces as possible to prevent scoring by the opposing player and by moving as many of the player's own pieces as possible to the opposing player's first row on the board, with the object of scoring points.

  • Patent number: 5689413
Abstract: A portable electronic device holster (105) includes an AC voltage convertor (115) having at least two AC prongs (102) extending therefrom. The AC voltage convertor (115) is captured within the holster (105) and can be extended and retracted. When a portable electronic device is inserted in the portable electronic device holster (105), the AC voltage convertor (115) is extended, and the at least two AC prongs (120) are inserted into a standard AC power socket, a voltage down convertor circuit (405) within the AC voltage convertor (115) generates a down converted voltage which is coupled to the portable electronic device. Alternatively, an AC voltage convertor (615) slidably attaches to a portable electronic device and generates a down converted voltage which is coupled to the portable electronic device when AC prongs (120) extending from the AC voltage converter (615) are inserted into a standard AC power socket.

  • Patent number: 5387111
Abstract: A low-profile, high density, electrical connector (10), includes multiple layers (19, 22) of substantially parallel electrical conductors (31), the electrical conductors (25) each having a planar portion (29), and spaced ends (31) angling away from the planar portions (29). The planar portions (29) of the electrical conductors (25) are insulated with an insulating material (34). The spaced ends (31) of the electrical conductors (25) on each layer form a row of connector pins (13, 16). The connector (10) is formed by attaching the multiple layers (19, 22) along the insulated planar portions (29) of the conductors (25) to form a substantially rigid, low profile, multilayered structure.

  • Patent number: 5278570
Abstract: An antenna connector and RF switch assembly (10) is provided on a portable radio (14). The radio includes a self-contained antenna (16) and a radio circuit (27). The assembly (10) is used for selectively connecting the radio circuit (27) to the antenna (16) or to an external signal supply (39). In the assembly, a switchable conductive center contact portion (22, 20, 35) selectively engages either the antenna (16) or the external signal supply (39). A metallic housing (18), having an antenna bushing (17), receives the antenna (16). A molded dielectric insulator portion (26) separates the switchable conductive center contact portion from the metallic housing and is directly connected to the antenna bushing.

  • Patent number: 4803447
Abstract: An antenna switch (302) includes a radio terminal (R) and first and second antenna terminals (A1 and A2). When the second antenna terminal (A2) is unterminated, the radio terminal (R) is coupled to the first antenna terminal (A1). When the second antenna terminal (A2) is connected to a remote antenna system (304), the switch automatically couples the radio terminal (R) to the second antenna terminal (A2). Thus, the switch does not require a separate control terminal (C) and control signal to switch between the first and second antenna terminals. Instead, the switch is controlled by the presence or absence of a DC current at the second antenna terminal (A2). The remote antenna system includes a remote antenna (308) and a low pass filter (310) coupled between the remote antenna and ground. An alternate embodiment is described which includes a DC amplifier (402).
