  • Publication number: 20190051224
Abstract: The disclosed embodiments generally relate to methods, systems and apparatuses to provide ad hoc digital signage for public or private display. In certain embodiments, the disclosure provides dynamically formed digital signage. In one application, one or more drones are used to project the desired signage. In another application one or more drones are used to form a background to receive the projected image. In still another application, sensors are used to detect audience movement, line of sight or engagement level. The sensor information is then used to arrange the projecting drones or the surface-image drones to further signage presentation.

  • Publication number: 20190005723
Abstract: Technologies for time-delayed augmented reality (AR) presentations includes determining a location of a plurality of user AR systems located within the presentation site and determining a time delay of an AR sensory stimulus event of an AR presentation to be presented in the presentation site for each user AR system based on the location of the corresponding user AR system within the presentation site. The AR sensory stimulus event is presented to each user AR system based on the determined time delay associated with the corresponding user AR system. Each user AR system generates the AR sensory stimulus event based on a timing parameter that defines the time delay for the corresponding user AR system such that the generation of the AR sensory stimulus event is time-delayed based on the location of the user AR system within the presentation site.

  • Publication number: 20190005673
Abstract: The systems and methods disclosed herein provide determination of an orientation of a feature towards a reference target. As a non-limiting example, a system consistent with the present disclosure may include a processor, a memory, and a single camera affixed to the ceiling of a room occupied by a person. The system may analyze images from the camera to identify any objects in the room and their locations. Once the system has identified an object and its location, the system may prompt the person to look directly at the object. The camera may then record an image of the user looking at the object. The processor may analyze the image to determine the location of the user's head and, combined with the known location of the object and the known location of the camera, determine the direction that the user is facing. This direction may be treated as a reference value, or “ground truth.” The captured image may be associated with the direction, and the combination may be used as training input into an application.

  • Patent number: 10158914
Abstract: A system and method for real-time alteration of media content based on stress monitoring is disclosed. A computer system present a single media content item in two distinct content streams to a first and second user. Using sensor generated data the computer system measures at least one user response indicator for the first and second user and estimates a stress level for the first and second users. The computer system determines whether the estimated stress level for the first user exceeds a first predetermined stress threshold. In accordance with a determination that the estimated stress level for the first user exceeds a first predetermined stress threshold the computer system alters the first stream of the presented media content item to modify the particular portion of the media content item associated with the estimated stress level for the first user.

  • Patent number: 10075835
Abstract: One or more sensors gather data, one or more processors analyze the data, and one or more indicators notify a user if the data represent an event that requires a response. One or more of the sensors and/or the indicators is a wearable device for wireless communication. Optionally, other components may be vehicle-mounted or deployed on-site. The components form an ad-hoc network enabling users to keep track of each other in challenging environments where traditional communication may be impossible, unreliable, or inadvisable. The sensors, processors, and indicators may be linked and activated manually or they may be linked and activated automatically when they come within a threshold proximity or when a user does a triggering action, such as exiting a vehicle. The processors distinguish extremely urgent events requiring an immediate response from less-urgent events that can wait longer for response, routing and timing the responses accordingly.
