  • Publication number: 20240110319
Abstract: A washing machine appliance includes a wash basket that is rotatably mounted within a wash tub and that defines a wash chamber for receiving a load of clothes. A motor assembly is mechanically coupled to the wash basket for selectively rotating the wash basket and a turbidity sensor is positioned within the wash fluid. A controller is configured to perform a wash cycle, obtain a turbidity of the wash fluid following the wash cycle using the turbidity sensor, determine rinse parameters of a rinse cycle based at least in part on the turbidity of the wash fluid, and perform the rinse cycle in accordance with the rinse parameters.

  • Patent number: 10758910
Abstract: A horizontal grinding machine includes a frame, a feed hopper that receives material to be processed, and a feed conveyor that moves material to be processed in a processing direction. A grinding cylinder rotates about a generally horizontal grinding axis. A feed roller assembly is mounted on the frame at the rear end of the feed hopper and in front of the grinding cylinder. The feed roller assembly includes a feed roller that rotates about a generally horizontal axis in a first direction that urges the material towards the grinding cylinder and a second direction that urges the material away from the grinding cylinder. A controller is operatively connected to the feed roller and to the feed conveyor and controls the rotational speed of the feed roller and the speed of the feed conveyor to obtain a predetermined ratio of feed roller rotational speed to feed conveyor speed.

  • Patent number: 10099224
Abstract: A material reducing machine includes a rotor assembly having a plurality of short cutting tools and a plurality of long cutting tools. The short cutting tools are arranged in rows which extend across the length of the rotor assembly, which rows are spaced around the periphery of the rotor assembly. Each of the short cutting tools has a cutting bit with a leading edge that is spaced outwardly from the periphery of the rotor assembly by a short cutter distance. The long cutting tools are also arranged in rows which extend across the length of the rotor assembly, which rows are spaced around the periphery of the rotor assembly. Each of the long cutting tools has a cutting bit with a leading edge that is spaced outwardly from the periphery of the rotor assembly by a long cutter distance that is greater than the short cutter distance of each of the short cutting tools. A breaker assembly includes a plurality of shear blocks, each of which is spaced so as to be aligned with a short cutting tool.

  • Patent number: 10047545
Abstract: A door security and closing device is provided that is mountable to the frame of a doorway. The device comprises a movable arm that is positioned within the swing path of a door to resist and close the door shut in response to pressure applied to the door, or input from the user. The movable arm has a retracted position, an extended position, and a stowed state. In the retracted position, the arm is in the swing path of the door and allows partial opening of the door. If pressure is applied to the arm once the door is opened, a force transducer registers the force applied and the arm is directed to close the door in response. The system is controlled by a processor, a motor controller, and an electric motor. Switches are provided to register the position of the arm, while user buttons allow operable movement thereof.

  • Patent number: 9059949
Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses for monitoring regulated associates are presented. According to one or more aspects, a user command to send an electronic message using a mobile computing device may be detected. Subsequently, content of the electronic message may be analyzed to determine whether the message violates one or more policies. In response to determining that the message violates one or more policies, the message may be added to a listing of flagged messages. According to one or more additional aspects, at least one occurrence of an application installation event may be detected on a computing device. In response to detecting the at least one occurrence of the application installation event, an application corresponding to the at least one occurrence of the application installation event may be identified. Subsequently, it may be determined whether the identified application is approved for use on the computing device.

  • Publication number: 20140175201
Abstract: A material reducing machine includes a frame and a drum rotor which is mounted for rotation with respect to the frame. The drum rotor includes a generally cylindrical peripheral wall with a tool mounted thereon. The tool has a leading edge that defines an arc as the drum rotor is rotated, which arc is spaced outwardly from the peripheral wall and is parallel thereto. The machine includes a material input device for conveying material to be reduced towards the drum rotor, and an outlet for reduced material. A breaker bar assembly is located adjacent to the drum rotor. The breaker bar assembly includes a back plate with a plurality of breaker bars mounted thereon. The breaker bar assembly is located so that material which is carried by the tool of the drum rotor is directed against the breaker bar assembly.

  • Patent number: 4676041
Abstract: A corrosion-resistant door constituted by a one-piece integrated structure of high strength, free of assembly joints and seams. The door includes a rectangular core formed by a slab of rigid closed-cell foam plastic or other material having an array of holes therein extending between the opposing faces of the slab. The core is encapsulated within a rigid plastic shell formed by resin-impregnated fiberglass having a smooth, non-porous resin outer skin. The structure is reinforced by resin dowels which extend through the holes in the core to bridge the opposing faces of the shell. The door is fabricated by a resin transfer molding technique in which a core wrapped in dry fiberglass or other reinforcing material is placed in the mold and a liquid catalyzed resin is injected therein, which then cures to define the shell.
