  • Patent number: 12209153
Abstract: A latex emulsion that includes an aqueous carrier liquid and a latex copolymer formed from reactants comprising butyl methacrylate, wherein the reactants comprise at least 20 wt. % a vinyl monomer, based on the total weight of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the latex copolymer. A homopolymer formed from the vinyl monomer preferably exhibits a glass transition temperature of between about ?10° C. and about 30° C. A coating formed from the latex emulsion preferably exhibits a dry adhesion of greater than about 4 pounds per linear inch when applied between a thermoplastic polyolefin roofing membrane and a plywood roofing substrate at an average coat weight of about 6 lbs/100 ft2 and subjected to 180° peel testing according to ASTM D903 with a 2-inch per minute pull rate. The latex emulsion may include a second latex copolymer or stage, and may be used as part of an aqueous adhesive composition.

  • Publication number: 20050150732
Abstract: A wheeled luggage case (1) has a single telescoping handle arm assembly (10) and a cantilevered handle grip (11) which is rotatably attached to the top end (13) of the handle arm assembly, such that the plane of rotation of the grip is approximately parallel to the rolling direction of the luggage case. The cantilevered handle grip (11) rotates from a position approximately perpendicular to the telescoping handle arm assembly (10) to a position approximately 30° below the horizontal, and a resilient element is provided which urges the grip to rotate downwardly while in use. The invention provides an ergonomically comfortable wheeled luggage case by allowing the user to grasp the grip in a natural position and, simultaneously, increasing the amount of leverage available to prevent the luggage case from tipping over when it is rolled over uneven ground. Further, the resilient element distributes the weight of the luggage case evenly across the user's hand.

  • Patent number: 6467135
Abstract: A security for a compartmented structure including at least one zippered compartment includes a two-slide zipper. The pulls are configured to interlock one another and to expose a security slot when engaged. Affixing a security product to the security when the pulls are interlocked maintains the zippered compartment closed and secured. The security product preferentially includes a cable to secure the security product to an object other than the compartmented structure when affixed to the security slot to prevent unauthorized movement of the compartmented structure.

  • Patent number: 6418759
Abstract: An apparatus for securing a cable to a portable device equipped with a security slot defined within an outer wall. A first member is coupled to a second member with each member having at least one aperture defined within a body portion thereof. A locking member protrudes from a bottom edge of the first member and a pin protrudes from a bottom edge of the second member. The first and second members are movable from an unlocked position wherein the locking member is adapted for insertion into the security slot and engagement with the outer wall, to a locked position wherein the pin slidably abuts the locking member to secure the locking member within the security slot. When the first and second members are in the locked position, the aperture is aligned to allow for passage of the cable.
