  • Patent number: 11944396
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling robotic movement of a tool based on one or more virtual boundaries. The system comprises a tool and a manipulator to support the tool. A control system controls operation of the manipulator and movement of the tool based on a relationship between the tool and the one or more virtual boundaries associated with a target site. The control system includes a boundary handler to determine whether the tool is in compliance with the one or more virtual boundaries or is in violation of the one or more virtual boundaries.

  • Patent number: 11714907
Abstract: A system and method for detecting and preventing ransomware includes creating a number of watch files in a filesystem and adding a location and a timestamp of each to an ingest log. A number of native files are found in the filesystem and cataloged, adding the location and the timestamp of each to the ingest log. Periodically, each timestamp of each entry in the ingest log is compared to a current timestamp of a corresponding file in the filesystem and a count of watch files that have change and a count of native files that have changed is made. If the count of watch and native files that have changed indicate that a ransomware program is running on the computer, the ransomware program is suspended and reported. If a command indicates that the ransomware program is not ransomware, execution of the program is resumed.

  • Publication number: 20230226546
Abstract: The invention provides sample cartridges for processing samples. The sample cartridges comprise at least one fluidic channel. Each fluidic channel comprises a sample chamber, a lysis chamber, a binding chamber, a pre-amplification region, and an amplification region. The sample cartridges also comprise a waste line that is in fluidic connectivity with each fluidic channel. The sample cartridges can interface with a plurality of plungers that are capable of occluding at least one fluidic channel, waste line, and/or optional assay line to limit the transport of fluids into, out of, and/or along at least one fluidic channel by plunging. The invention also provides multi-channel sample cartridges, which are sample cartridges that comprise at least two fluidic channels. In addition, the sample cartridges can house fluids on the cartridge, off the cartridge, or some on the cartridge and some fluids off the cartridge.

  • Patent number: 10913637
Abstract: The present invention teaches a method for quickly and easily nesting and un-nesting bulk seed boxed. A first lower box is engaged with forks extending from a forklift truck, and the stacked boxes are elevated to a target height. Next, the forklift truck is advanced forward until the stacked boxes are in position in a box inverter apparatus, wherein the stacked boxes are positioned between opposing box engaging surfaces of rotary clamp pads. The rotary clamp pads engage the stacked boxes at a clamping location below the center of mass of the second, upper box unit. The forks of the fork truck carrying the first, lower box unit are then lowered until the first lower box unit is separated from the second, upper box unit, thereby affecting rotation of the second, upper box unit and rotary clamp pads until the second, upper box unit rotates a full 180 degrees to an inverted position.

  • Publication number: 20200247646
Abstract: The present invention teaches a method used in connection with a forklift truck for quickly and easily nesting and un-nesting bulk seed boxes. A lower surface of the first lower box unit is engaged with forks extending from a forklift truck. The stacked first and second box units are then elevated to a target height. Next, the forklift truck is advanced forward until the stacked first and second box units are in a predetermined horizontal position in a box inverter apparatus, wherein the stacked first and second box units are positioned between opposing box engaging surfaces of first and second rotary clamp pads associated with the box inverter apparatus. The rotary clamp pads are then moved toward the stacked first and second box units until the opposing box engaging surfaces engage opposing outer surfaces of the second, upper box unit at a clamping location below the center of mass of the second, upper box unit.

  • Patent number: 10632470
Abstract: An apparatus for performing a thermocyclic process, such as amplifying DNA, includes a microfluidic chip with a channel formed therein and one or more thermal distribution elements disposed over portions of the chip. Each thermal distribution element is configured to distribute thermal energy from an external thermal energy source substantially uniformly over the portion of the chip covered by the thermal distribution element. The portion of the chip covered by the thermal distribution element thereby comprises a discrete temperature zone. Other temperature zones can be defined by other thermal distribution elements or by portions of the chip not covered by a thermal distribution element. The channel is configured so that a fluid flowing through the channel would enter and exit the different temperature zones a plurality of times, thereby alternately exposing the fluid to the temperature of each zone for a period of time required for the fluid to traverse the zone.

  • Patent number: 10392907
Abstract: In accordance with the present disclosure, a full top-to-bottom subsea system and method used to drill, complete, produce, and perform interventions on HPHT subsea wells is provided. The disclosed systems and methods involve the use of a controlled multiple barrier system, such as a high integrity pipeline protection system (HIPPS), incorporated into the subsea system to divide the system into two sections. The sections on either side of the barrier may be rated for different pressures, temperatures, and/or flow rates. For example, the first section (upstream of the barrier) is rated for operating at pressures/temperatures/flow rates up to a first (higher) threshold. The second section (downstream of the barrier) is rated for operating at pressures/temperatures/flow rates up to a second (lower) threshold. The disclosed subsea production system methodology, which uses barriers to divide the system components between two pressure ratings, may allow for enhanced development of HPHT reservoirs.
