  • Patent number: 8423014
Abstract: Method and apparatus to monitor MQoS of wireless mobile devices is described. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method to monitor the health of 3G mobile devices and provide a status check of such health to network technicians, supervisors, and management. In one aspect, mobile devices on the network perform measurement of MQoS factors that are reported to a quality of service backend. The MQoS data is combined to show current and historical network status. In another aspect, alarms may be set to notify specific managers when manager programmable conditions occur, such as low system performance, or specific error conditions occur. Reports may be generated summarizing and illustrating performance in tabular and graphical form. Parameters used for testing and monitoring mobile devices may be input to specific mobile devices or groups of mobile devices in a system.

  • Publication number: 20080067247
Abstract: A credit card size authentication card is manufactured using innovative sensor technology, processor technology, power generation and storage, panel display and integration technology. The front of the card has a data display and an exposed, biometric sensor. Internally the card has one or more flex boards that carry low profile, surface-mounted electronic components including a processor that provides the control functions and mathematical calculations to generate a series of random personal identification numbers (PINs) in the display. The random PINs are derived from a biometric seed number obtained during initialization of the card by a discrete user. The electronic circuitry controlling and interconnecting the processor, the sensor and the display is powered by a power system including a thin film battery, a thin film power generator and a low profile power regulator. The thin film power generator preferably comprises a thin film solar collector or RF antenna circuit for energy harvesting.

  • Patent number: 7058386
Abstract: A mobile telephone programming and accounting system that includes an integrated hardware system interlinking a telephone unit, a telephone interlink receiver, and a central processing unit connected to the interlink receiver. The hardware system also preferably includes a receipt printer and a credit card reader. The telephone unit is preferably equipped with an internal real time clock and calendar circuit and memory store to record the time and date of calls for reporting to the central processing unit to enable tracking and detailed accounting of calls. The interlink receiver in the improved design includes a gang platform for programming multiple phone units, which may be phone units of different manufacturers, and provides for automatic programming of the multiple units and, in the retail distribution setting, programming the operating parameters and assignment of the phone unit to a service provider with encryption keys to reduce service churning.
