  • Patent number: 11935384
Abstract: The disclosed wearable device systems include several features for alerting and guiding persons who are approaching or near to potentially hazardous or high-risk conditions in their nearby environment. Sensor data from wearable devices (also referred to herein as “wearables”) are used to determine the presence of various unsafe environmental conditions and phenomenon, including dangerous terrain or other unusual conditions. The wearable would be used to warn a person, for example via auditory or haptic-based feedback, if the person is about to encounter an unsafe condition. In particular, the proposed systems can be of great benefit to the visually impaired, those persons with physical disabilities, or persons otherwise vulnerable to particular environmental conditions.

  • Patent number: 11897718
Abstract: A tape applicator configured for applying a tape to a carton (e.g., for sealing and/or assembling the carton). The tape applicator may include an edge folder assembly having an edge folder roller operatively coupled to a support member that allows the edge folder roller to rotate around the support member. The edge folder assembly may also include an alignment assembly (e.g., a self-alignment assembly) that allows the edge folder roller to move axially along the support member. The alignment assembly may comprise one or more biasing members (e.g., springs, or the like) and/or one or more restraining members (e.g., washers, or the like) to aid in allowing the edge folder roller to rotate and/or move axially with respect to the one or more support members in order to account for shifting of the tape transversely through the tape applicator.

  • Patent number: 11755834
Abstract: A computing system is described that includes user interface components configured to receive typed user input; and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to: receive, by a computing system and at a first time, a first portion of text typed by a user in an electronic message being edited; predict, based on the first portion of text, a first candidate portion of text to follow the first portion of text; output, for display, the predicted first candidate portion of text for optional selection to append to the first portion of text; determine, at a second time that is after the first time, that the electronic message is directed to a sensitive topic; and responsive to determining that the electronic message is directed to a sensitive topic, refrain from outputting subsequent candidate portions of text for optional selection to append to text in the electronic message.

  • Publication number: 20230166273
Abstract: A fluidic oscillator insert is designed to project a full circumference spray pattern from a single outlet that is characterized by slightly convex or outwardly curving radius and a combination of full and partial protrusions immediately in front of the outlet, in combination with curved walls defining the throat of the outlet (and even outer surfaces of the housing), surprisingly produces full circumference, oscillating spray pattern. Further aspects of the invention include a system and a double exit insert, both of which also produce full circumference oscillating spray patterns.

  • Publication number: 20220369575
Abstract: A clog resistant online vortex emitter assembly and method uses a double-sided circuit and a series of vortex chambers of optimized dimensions to create a pressure drop with large dimensions and good clog resistance. The vortex emitter allows for pressure regulation without moving parts and includes a unitary body having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface and a multi-lumen flow channel providing fluid communication between the first surface and the second surface, wherein said unitary body is a double-sided circuit with a plurality of vortex chambers with lumens aligned in series. The vortex chamber includes an inlet region, a power nozzle, an interaction region and a throat, the inlet region is in fluid communication with the interaction region through the power nozzle. The plurality of vortex chambers includes dimensions to create a pressure drop and be attached to an outer surface of an irrigation tube.
