Abstract: A plurality of web documents that include indicators corresponding to one or more selectable like objects may be obtained. A corresponding web domain associated with each of the plurality of obtained web documents may be determined. A domain total like object count of the indicators corresponding to the one or more selectable like objects may be determined for each one of the obtained plurality of web documents, for each determined corresponding web domain. A candidate group of the corresponding web domains may be determined based on a comparison of a predetermined first threshold value with one or more of the domain total like object counts. A likefarm domain confidence score may be determined for each one of a second group of the corresponding web domains based on a decision tree function that is based on a plurality of domain attributes.

Abstract: Methods and systems directed to aggregating social content from social networking sites, and making the social content available for searching is disclosed. Social content, corresponding to multiple computer users, is obtained from a plurality of social networking sites. The social content is stored in a content store, making it available for searching. In response to receiving a search query (directed to social content), a set of search results is identified, the search results including at least one item of social content obtained from a social networking site. The social content in the search results is filtered according to privacy constraints. A presentation of the filtered search results is generated and provided to the requesting computer user.

Abstract: Described are methods and apparatus that allow cable customers who wish to add a cable modem (or other device) to a local network to choose both the cable modem through which they access the Internet and the Internet Service Provider (ISP) that will provide them that access. A system of hardware connects the local network to the Internet. This hardware includes cable-modem infrastructure that denies Internet access to devices on the local network that are not registered with an authorized ISP. The hardware also facilitates the registration process, allowing devices new to the local network to establish Internet-access agreements with ISPs, and thereby gain access to the Internet.
