  • Patent number: 6988734
Abstract: The invention relates to a tool-receiving element, the tool-clamping device thereof being directly integrated into the rotating machine. A multiple-edge longitudinal recess (21,121,221), especially a hexagonal recess, extends into the drive shaft (18,118,218) from the output-side front end thereof. A clamping sleeve (25,25?,125,225) is received on the section of the drive shalt comprising the tool-receiving element, in the form of a tool-clamping device, by which means at least one locking element (24,124,224) received in a radial recess penetrating the shell of the tool-receiving element can be actuated in a locking position protruding radially into the tool-receiving element, and can be released in an unlocking position for radial yielding.

  • Patent number: 5562196
Abstract: A device for discontinuously advancing stock or work along or in discontinuously operating production machinery, a press for example. The stock or work is gripped by grips distributed along parallel and separated rails. The grip-supporting rails extend in the direction the stock or work advances in. The rails have three different motions, specifically back and forth together in the direction the stock or work moves in, together and apart transversely at at least one essentially right angle to that direction, and up and down together. A separate drive mechanism discontinuously governs each motion. The separate drive mechanisms are positioned essentially symmetrical to and below the rails. The drive that moves the grip-supporting rails together and apart accommodates at least one spindle that is engaged by a motor. The drive that moves the rails up and down accommodates at least one spindle that is engaged by another motor.

  • Patent number: 5346055
Abstract: Machinery for discontinuously forwarding material or work past or through discontinuously operating tools, presses for example. Two separated work-holder bars parallel the forwarding stream. The bars move upstream and downstream together subject to a cam. The cam rotates around an axis paralleling the stream. The motion of the cam is transmitted to the bars by a follower and by a transmission. The transmission engages guides that guide the bars. The bars are accordingly discontinuously shifted in at least one direction essentially cross-stream. The follower is mounted on a rocker. The rocker pivots around a pivot secured stationary to the machinery above and more or less paralleling the axis of the cam. The follower is forced by a spring against the circumference of the cam. The transmission is a linkage including a reversing lever. A thruster is articulated to the rocker at a point remote from the pivot. The thruster pivots the reversing lever around another pivot.

  • Patent number: 4650063
Abstract: The present invention relates to an advancement device particularly adapted for use in a press for step-wise transport of material or of a workpiece; two gripper rails spaced from one another extend therein along a transport path. The gripper rails are reciprocally movable together along an advancement direction, while being movable in respective opposite directions along a direction transverse to the advancement direction. Two longitudinal guides receive the gripper rails, respectively, and a transverse drive drives the longitudinal guides in the respective opposite directions along the transverse direction. An advancement sled is reciprocally movable along the advancement direction, and an advancement drive drives the advancement sled reciprocally along the advancement direction. The gripper rails are connected to the advancement sled rigidly along the advancement direction, but are movably connected thereto along the transverse direction.
