  • Publication number: 20110154450
Abstract: A remote-operated unit of a user terminal apparatus remote-operated through network from a remote terminal apparatus of a support staff sends image information of a changed portion to the remote terminal apparatus to display a business screen in an interlocked manner when a change is detected in the business screen displayed by a business processing unit with an image-information transmission unit. When an operation-information reception unit receives remote operation information of a mouse or keyboard from the remote terminal apparatus, a remote-operation prohibited region management unit refers to a remote-operation prohibited region table and prohibits remote operation if the remote operation information is within the operation prohibited region.

  • Patent number: 5953050
Abstract: A video conferencing system uses video conferencing terminals at a number of locations to allow each of participants in a video conference to watch other participants he or she wants to watch in a desired array using a small amount of hardware. The system comprises first image reduction and storage units for reducing images from the terminals at a reduction ratio for speaker's image and storing the reduced images, second image reduction and storage units for reducing the images from the terminals at a reduction ratio for non-speaker's image and storing the reduced images, image readout control units for reading the reduced image stored in a corresponding one of the second image reduction and storage units in such a way that a plurality of reduced images identical to that reduced image can be displayed on one display screen, and an image selecting and combining unit for generating a composite image and outputting it to receiving terminals.

  • Patent number: 5726669
Abstract: A multi-window communication system performs a communication and telewriting between terminals having multi-window functions. This system inputs commands for a window frame change, a screen scrolling and various function execution designation, and analyzes and executes a command inputted by said inputting means and transmitted from another terminal. It displays window display data stored in a memory under the control of a command analysis, and transmits and receives transmitting and receiving signals to or from another terminal, under the control of a command analysis. Then, the system maintains window management data, changes a window frame and controls a scrolling of a window screen, under the control of the command analysis.

  • Patent number: 5408261
Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing image communication between a plurality of terminals are suggested, in which a composing unit is provided for composing a signal transmitted from a predetermined number of terminals at the transmitting side, together with destination information, into one image signal. An encoding unit encodes the composite signal composed by the composing unit. The composite signal encoded at the encoding unit is transmitted to the receiving side through an exchange at the transmitting side.

  • Patent number: 5018082
Abstract: A guidance message display control system for displaying a guidance message on terminal equipment, such as multi-media communication terminals. The system maintains and updates a skill level which corresponds to the length of delay occuring before the display of the guidance message. The system awaits a choice selection by a users. If within a predetermined time delay the user has not input a valid selection, then the guidance message is displayed and the skill level is decreased. On the other hand, if a valid selection is made within the predetermined period, then the skill level is increased. Thus, guidance messages are displayed based upon user skill. That is, the messages appear for the unskilled user, but only appear as needed for the skilled user.
