  • Patent number: 6765369
Abstract: Provided are an apparatus and method for managing power, and more particularly, an apparatus and method for stably managing power by comparing a predetermined reference voltage level with a battery voltage level. The provided method for managing power includes (a) detecting the battery voltage level, which supplies power to a system after a predetermined period from the system being powered off, and comparing the battery voltage level with a reference voltage level, and (b) deciding the operation of the system in correspondence to the result of the comparison. According to the provided method, when the battery voltage level of the system is between the power off voltage level and the reference voltage level, the system is operated in the sleep mode using a minimum amount of power. When the battery voltage level is above the reference voltage level, the system is operated normally when a power switch is turned on. Consequently, the power and system are stably managed.

  • Patent number: 6251537
Abstract: A secondary battery having an improved sealing structure between electrode tabs acting as terminals of the battery, and a dielectric package, which is capable of preventing leakage of an organic electrolyte. The secondary battery includes a battery body having a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a separator which are stacked, and electrode tabs for inducing current generated therein to the outside; a dielectric package having upper and lower dielectric packages, for enclosing the battery body by sealing edge portions of the upper and lower dielectric packages while the electrode tabs are partially exposed to the outside; and sealing materials including sidearms, coated on predetermined portions of the electrode tabs by a predetermined width, for preventing leakage of an organic liquid electrolyte while being interposed and fused between the edge portions of the upper and lower dielectric packages.

  • Patent number: 6040582
Abstract: A focusing guide for focusing an ion beam passing through the chamber of an ion analyzer is provided. A controllable electric of magnetic field is generated around the focusing guide to direct selected ions through the chamber outlet without significantly reducing ion beam current intensity. The focused ion beam reduces collisions of ions with the chamber and also reduces secondary electron generation which can weaken ion beam intensity and increase ion implantation processing time.

  • Patent number: 5783023
Abstract: A gas injector for use in a semiconductor etching process including a plurality of injecting holes on the central portion thereof, for injecting process gases, a plurality of bolt holes formed on edges of the gas injector, facewise against a gas supply for securing the gas injector, a plurality of bolt head-accommodating slots formed on a first gas injecting face, for receiving the heads of the bolts, and a second gas injecting disposed plurality of bolt head accommodating slots on a face opposite to the first gas injecting face, whereby the gas injector can be successively installed each side down and thus, reused after the side first disposed towards the semiconductor workpieces has become too etched to provide the desired injection pattern.

  • Patent number: 5669513
Abstract: A wafer carriage is disclosed. An edge of the wafer carriage is roundly formed so that an edge of the wafer when colliding against the wafer can be prevented from chipping, pads are provided to a guide on the upper side of the wafer carriage so that the wafer when moving can be prevented from sliding, and thus, the wafer chipping occurred in a successive process can be prevented.
