  • Publication number: 20190115943
Abstract: The invention allows enhancing radio signal coverage in an elevator environment. An elevator antenna pair comprises a primary antenna that is configured to transmit and receive radio frequency signals with an external wireless communication network. The elevator antenna pair further comprises a secondary antenna that is communicatively connected to the primary antenna and configured to transmit and receive radio frequency signals with at least one radio frequency transceiver in an elevator car. • Publication number: 20160311650
Abstract: An elevator is equipped with a plurality of remote monitoring sensors for detecting faults and other events in a variety of components in the elevator. These remote monitoring sensors produce remote monitoring messages having a priority classification according to the fault or monitoring event severity. These remote monitoring messages are processed according to the priority classification and available communication connection properties. Based on the processing the communication connection for transmitting the remote message to a central system is selected and sent or temporarily stored for later transmittal.

  • Patent number: 8948348
Abstract: A method is provided for testing an elevator emergency phone, which emergency phone is either VoIP compliant and connected to a WAN or is connected with a mobile connection module for operation in a mobile network. In the method, the phone is periodically initiated to be registered in the corresponding communication network. The registration attempt is monitored by a reporting device. The status data of the registration attempt is communicated by the reporting device to a monitoring center, which itself is connected to the communication network, which monitoring center takes necessary action when either a registration attempt is not being executed within a set time period or if the result of at least one registration attempt has been communicated as failed.
