  • Publication number: 20220306708
Abstract: The invention relates to bifunctional stapled or stitched peptides comprising a targeting domain, a linker moiety, and an effector domain, that can be used to tether, or to bring into close proximity, at least two cellular entities (e.g., proteins). Certain aspects relate to bifunctional stapled or stitched peptides that bind to an effector biomolecule through the effector domain and bind to a target biomolecule through the targeting domain. Polypeptides and/or polypeptide complexes that are tethered by the bifunctional stapled or stitched peptides of the invention, where the effector polypeptide bound to the effector domain of the bifunctional stapled or stitched peptide modifies or alters the target polypeptide bound to the targeting domain of the bifunctional peptide. Uses of the inventive bifunctional stapled or stitched peptides including methods for treatment of disease (e.g., cancer, inflammatory diseases) are also provided.

  • Patent number: 7353685
Abstract: A device for punching, stamping and/or shaping flat elements (29) includes a base body (1) with a table (18) and support (26) for the flat element (29), and a base plate (17), which supports a punch (24), and which is advanced with a drive (4,5) toward the support (26) and into a working station (II), bringing the punch (24) into contact with the support (26). A large number of successive, very short, highly precise, punching strokes make punched holes or stampings. Short stop periods and short clock times are used for fast moving flat elements (29). Transfer apparatus (9, 7; 35; 43; 46) coupled between the drive (4,5) and the base plate (17) move the base plate (17) without building up pressure from a position of rest (I) The punch (24) is not in contact with the support (26), up to immediately in front of working position (II). The base plate (17) is then moved into working position (II) while producing a high pressure between the base plate (17) and the flat element (29).

  • Publication number: 20060021526
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for punching, stamping and/or shaping flat elements (29), comprising a base body (1) with a table (18) and support (26) for the flat element (29), and comprising a base plate (17), which supports a punch (24) and which, in order to carry out the working process, can be advanced with the aid of a drive (4,5) toward the support (26) and into a working station (II) whereby bringing the punch (24) into contact with the support (26) and can be moved away therefrom. The aim of the invention is to create a device of the aforementioned type with which a large number of very short and highly precise punching strokes can be executed in succession in order to make punched holes or stampings and, in particular, short stop periods and thus short clock times, in fact, the shortest possible working strokes, can be achieved in the event of fast moving flat elements.

  • Patent number: 4915143
Abstract: An apparatus for the selective feeding of one of a plurality of weft threads (1) to a gripper projectile, which moves along a projectile path (2), includes a plurality of displaceable feeders (3) each having a feeder clamp (7) for retaining a respective weft thread (1) in position for pick up, a knife (4) for cutting off the weft thread (1) after it has been drawn into the weaving shed by the gripper projectile, and a clamp for picking up the weft thread (1) from a feeder and drawing the weft thread (1) transversely across the projectile path (2) for engagement by the gripper projectile. The clamp is mounted on a rotatable ring (6) which is disposed perpendicular to the projectile path (2) which extends through the ring.

  • Patent number: 4895187
Abstract: A picking device for the picking motion of a loom uses a pull string for delivering the picking energy to a pivot arm which is capable of being tensioned by way of a cam drive. The pull string can in principle be any elongate structure, e.g. a pull string of steel or a rope of high tenacity aramide fibers. The cam drive includes a toggle lever which is extended by a first cam and urged somewhat beyond its dead center, and which is urged by a second cam back over the dead center to initiate picking. A decelerating string is connected to the pivot arm to decelerate the pivot arm at the end of the pick.
