  • Publication number: 20100156645
Abstract: An apparatus for determining and displaying or monitoring at least one operating state, selected from the group of temperatures, pressure or air humidity, of a cooking vessel includes: an adjusting element for detecting the operating state, and a signaling apparatus having an acoustic signal transmitter and/or an optical signal transmitter and/or a display device. An actual value of the operating state can be displayed with the aid of the display apparatus, and an appropriate signal can be output when a setpoint of the operating state is reached. The adjusting element includes a pivotable measuring disc with a coded structure, and a sensor device is provided for sensing the pivoting path of the measuring disc.

  • Publication number: 20090200314
Abstract: A cooking vessel has a handle, in particular for a pot or a pan, wherein the grip region of said handle is composed of metal. In this case, the handle has at least one first substantially metal fixing section for being fixed to the cooking vessel, a transition section and a substantially metal grip section. The transition section has a reduced metal cross section compared to the adjacent sections, wherein said transition section respectively comprises either a metal section, which is integrally connected to the adjacent sections, and a ceramic piece, or comprises only a ceramic piece, and the ceramic pieces are connected to the adjacent adjoining metal sections in an interlocking manner. The result of this is a reduction in thermal conductivity in the grip region without reducing the stability of the handle.

  • Patent number: 6540097
Abstract: A cooking vessel has a container having an encircling container margin bent outwardly and with a cover having an encircling cover margin bent outwardly. The container can be closed airtight by the cover with the aid of a closing mechanism acting on the container margin and cover margin. The closing mechanism comprises a closure ring extending over the container circumference with a C-profile cross section open radially inwardly, which, with the aid of an actuating mechanism, can be moved from an open position with greater diameter, in which the cover can be lifted from the container, into a closed position with lesser diameter, in which the container margin and the cover margin are clamped together by interspacing a sealing ring between a lower flank and an upper flank of the closure ring.

  • Patent number: 5427014
Abstract: The cooking vessel comprises a container (1) and a lid consisting of an inner lid (3) and an outer lid (5). The container comprises a bent peripheral container rim (2) wherein twelve individual hook-like lock elements (21) are effective locking the cooking vessel. The lock elements (21) are arranged peripherically and swivellingly along the inner lid rim (4) so that through pressing the upper lid (5) against the lock elements (21) a swivel movement of said lock elements is obtained. The lock elements are C-shaped with a hook part (32), such that in the swivel position corresponding to the closed state, the ends of this hook part (32) grip under the outer container rim (2). In the swivel position corresponding to the opened state, the ends of said hook part (32) are in a distance from said container rim (2) allowing an unhindered lifting of the inner lid (3) from the container (1).

  • Patent number: 5184550
Abstract: Apparatus for controlling the wetting behavior of the surface of a cylinder formed of passivatable metal. A wetting device is used to apply an electrolyte to the surface of the metal cylinder. A direct current source is connected between the wetting device and the cylinder and a control device is used to control the voltage necessary for passivating the surface of the cylinder as a function of the pH value of the electrolyte and the type of metal forming the surface of the cylinder. The oleophilic or oleophobic characteristics of the cylinder are thus controlled.

  • Patent number: 5102744
Abstract: A metal foil made by electroforming from a master pattern with the interposition of a negative form, and serving as packing for sheet guiding cylinders and/or drums of rotary printing machines, including a substantially planar member having one flat face and an opposite face with a textured surface structure corresponding to an upper side of the master pattern, the upper side of the master patten having been roughened by a jet treatment and coated with a levelling galvano-layer in order to eliminate undercuts, the master pattern per se, and method of manufacture.
