Abstract: A synergistic fungicidal composition comprising a fungicidally effective amount of(a) 1-(4-phenyl-phenoxy)-1-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-3,3-dimethyl-butan-2-ol of the formula ##STR1## (b) plus another fungicidally active derivative of 1,2,4-triazole of the formula ##STR2## in which A is the keto group of the CH(OH) group.

Abstract: A synergistic fungicidal composition comprising a fungicidally effective amount of (I) a 1,2,4-triazolylalkanol of the formula ##STR1## in which X is chlorine or phenyl,plus (II) at least one member selected from the group consisting of(A) a salt of a heavy metal,(B) a guanidine or derivative, and(C) a polyhalogenoalkylthio derivative of the formula ##STR2## in which R.sup.1 is amidosulphonyl or dimethylamidosulphonyl,R.sup.2 is phenyl, methylphenyl or halogeno phenyl, orR.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together are ##STR3## Haloalkyl is alkyl which has up to 2 carbon atoms and is substituted by 2 to 5 halogen atoms.This is a division of application Serial No. 750,719, filed 6/28/85, now pending, which is a continuation of application Ser. Abstract: This invention involves methods and composition for treating fungi comprising a fungicidally effective amount of a mixture of (I) a 1,2,4-triazole derivative of a phenoxyether-ketone or phenoxyether-alkanol selected from the group consisting of ##STR1## and (II) the compound of the formula ##STR2## the weight ratio of I:II ranging from 0.02-50:1.

Abstract: Hydroxyalkinyl-azolyl derivatives of the formula ##STR1## in which A is a nitrogen atom or the CH group,R is optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or phenyl,R.sup.1 is hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, alkinyl, or optionally substituted benzyl,R.sup.2 is hydrogen or methyl, andX is hydrogen, bromine or iodine,or addition products thereof with acids or metal salts exhibit fungicidal activity. Some intermediates therefor are also new.
